  • ShopKeep POS rolls out mobile device

    New York – ShopKeep POS is introducing ShopKeep Mobile, a handheld point of sale device that will use Griffin Olli hardware with the ShopKeep POS app. Designed for the iPod touch, ShopKeep Mobile features an encrypted credit card swiper and high-speed laser barcode scanner to ring up sales right from the showroom floor.

  • Estee Lauder appoints Jane Lauder global brand pres., Clinique

    Estée Lauder has named Jane Lauder as global brand president of Clinique. Succeeding Lauder will be Stephane de la Faverie, who has been named SVP/global general manager, Origins, Ojon and Darphin. Their new roles will become effective April 1.

    Both Lauder and de la Faverie will report to Lynne Greene, group president of Clinique, Origins, Ojon, Aveda and Darphin. As announced in 2012, Greene was promoted to group president as part of an organizational redesign.

  • NRDC promotes two to executive team

    Purchase, N.Y. — National Realty & Development Corp. (www.nrdc.com) has promoted Dovid M. Spector and Greg A. Oshins have been promoted to the executive team.

    Spector has been promoted to senior VP, leasing. He began his career with NRDC in 2002 as a leasing representative and served as Director of Retail Leasing for the pat six years. Prior to joining NRDC, Spector worked in the Real Estate Business Development division of Morgan Stanley.

  • Build-A-Bear Workshop reports lower preliminary revenues for FY, Q4 2013

    St. Louis – Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. reported declining year-over-year revenues for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2013 in a partial preliminary earnings release.

    On a preliminary basis, Build-A-Bear reported total fourth quarter revenues of $107 million, down 9% from $118.2 million in the same period a year earlier. Preliminary fiscal year revenues were down slightly to $378 million from $380.2 million.

  • Slipstream Cocktail & Coffee to launch in Washington, D.C.

    Washington, D.C. - Slipstream, a new coffee and cocktail business with its flagship location set to open along 14th Street in Logan Circle in Washington, D.C., will open in spring 2014. Slipstream will focus on service,e as well as the journey of coffee from source to sip and will complement the coffee with crafted cocktails in the evening.

  • The Cellular Connection implements RetailNext store analytics

    Camdenton, Mo. – The Cellular Connection, a 300-unit national operator of Verizon Wireless stores, has selected RetailNext to develop staffing models, help with store design by analyzing customer’s path to purchase, and monitor traffic and conversion rates to help gauge the success of advertising campaigns. This will include testing and optimizing store layouts and product placements for their interactive touch screens, device wall, KidZone, and smart accessories (e.g. headsets, speakers, etc.) in order to offer customers the best in-store experience.

  • H&M coming to the Outlets at Tejon

    Tejon Ranch, Calif. — Swedish fashion retailer H&M has taken a 22,000-sq.-ft. space in the Outlets at Tejon, which is under construction along Interstate 5 in a trade area stretching from Northwest Los Angeles County to Bakersfield.

    Established in 1947 in Sweden, H&M has 3,000 stores in 53 countries around the world.

    Tejon Ranch Co. and The Rockefeller Group are developing the 320,000-sq.-ft outlet center.
