    Jacksonville, Fla. — Near Field Communication (NFC) POS payment terminals from Pax Technology Inc. now support Apple Pay. Pax has a portfolio of products including countertop, mobile and multi-lane NFC-equipped terminals tested to work with Apple Pay.

  • Vitamin Shoppe CEO to retire in 2015

    North Bergen, N.J. - Tony Truesdale, who has served as CEO of Vitamin Shoppe Inc. since 2006, has announced his intent to retire on June 27, 2015 to spend more time with his family and his external board work. The board of directors of the Vitamin Shoppe will be commencing a search for a new CEO, which will include both internal and external candidates, who will then implement the next stages of the company's long-term growth plans.

    New York — Chico’s FAS Inc. has partnered with Borderfree to expand its e-commerce capabilities globally. Through this partnership, Chico’s FAS will now be able to transact with shoppers in more than 100 countries and territories worldwide in more than 60 global currencies.

  • Five Below Q2 profit doubles as sales increase; opening 38 stores in third quarter

    Philadelphia – Five Below Inc.’s profit  more than doubled to $8.3 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2014, from $4.1 million in the same period last year. Its results beat expectations. The chain issued a third-quarter earnings estimate slightly below Wall Street views, while increasing its full-year sales and earnings guidance.

    Revenue in the quarter increased 30% to $152.5 million. Same-store sales increased by 3.2%.

  • Consolo, Aquino & Maglio arrange another Manhattan store in South Harlem

    NEW YORK — The leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, executive vice, along with Arthur Maglio, of Douglas Elliman’s Retail Group, has arranged a long-term lease for Moe's Sneaker Spot at 1890 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd., on the southwest corner of 115th Street. It is the second Manhattan location for the rapidly expanding retailer, which presently operates a dozen stores throughout New York and New Jersey.

  • RKF named leasing agent for The Factory in Long Island City

    New York — RKF has been selected as the exclusive retail leasing agent for The Factory, a one-million-square-foot, multi-tenant commercial building located in Long Island City, Queens. Situated in the Hunter’s Point section of Long Island City, the retail space at The Factory consists of 23,564-sq.-ft. on the ground floor and 21,854-sq.-ft. on the building’s lower level.

    RKF executive VP Barry Fishbach and director Young Kim are bringing the opportunity to market for Atlas Capital Group, who recently acquired the property.
