  • Charles Sparks designs new format for Neiman Marcus

    Westchester, Ill. -- Charles Sparks + Co. announced the debut of its design for the new Neiman Marcus store in Walnut Creek, Calif. The 85,000-sq.-ft., three-level location represents a fresh new vision of modern luxury in a smaller format store for the luxury department store retailer.

  • Sears names former Sony exec as appliance head

    Hoffman Estates, Ill. -- Sears Holdings Corp. said Thursday that Steve Haber will join the company as senior VP and president, Home Appliances.

    Haber was previously executive VP at Sony Electronics, leading the Product to Consumer Marketing and the Home and Digital Reading business divisions.

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Former Sony Electronics executive, Steve Haber, is joining Sears Holdings as SVP and president, home appliances. 

    In his new role with Sears Holdings, Haber will lead the company's effort to continue driving profitable growth in its industry-leading appliance business.

  • Lumber Liquidators to open at Hickory Plaza

    Hickory, N.C. -- North Plainfield, N.J.-based Levin Management Corp. announced that Lumber Liquidators will open a 6,000-sq.-ft. store at Hickory Plaza, located in Hickory, N.C.

    This newest store for Lumber Liquidators represents the chain’s ninth in the state.

    The 133,000-sq.-ft. Hickory Plaza is leased and managed by Levin.
     
     

  • Sears CEO’s compensation valued at $9.9 million

    New York -- The CEO of Sears Holdings Corp., Louis D'Ambrosio, received a compensation package in 2011 whose value was put at $9.9 million, according to a proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

    D'Ambrosio joined the company in February 2011. He received a base salary of $931,000. His stock awards totaled $8 million and his bonus was $150,000.

  • Sears Canada launches online points redemption feature

    Toronto -- Sears Financial has launched an online points redemption system for its five million plus card members, making it one of the first major retail loyalty programs in Canada to do so.

  • Another celebrity chef joins HSN ranks

    ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Celebriy Chef Curtis Stone will debut his Kitchen Solutions line March 16 to 17 on HSN. Stone will appear live on HSN during a special one-hour preview at 1 p.m. (EDT) on March 16 and throughout the day on March 17 as part of the multi-channel retailer's "24 Hour HSN Cooks Event."  

  • Martha Stewart builds partnership with The Home Depot

    ATLANTA — The Martha Stewart brand continues to resonate with consumers, which is why it is no suprise that The Home Depot has extended its agreement with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia to offer Martha Stewart Living branded products at its 2,000-plus stores through March 2016.

    The agreement also calls for an expansion of products offered.
