  • Ferrandino & Son hires VP operations

    Farmingdale, N.Y. - Ferrandino & Son Inc., a provider of exterior maintenance, facility services, HVAC, lighting and electrical services, painting and general contracting, has hired Tom Panek as VP operations. Panek will be responsible for the day to day operations across all of Ferrandino & Son programs.  

  • Haier America adds appliance execs

    Three executives were named to new roles at leading appliance and consumer electronics manufacturer Haier America.

    Haier America, part of the $29 billion Haier Group, named Gina Copeland SVP of air quality, Sanjay Gupta VP of product platform development for major appliances and Paul Riley as VP of sales and marketing for major appliances.

  • Michael’s names supply chain and vendor partners of the year

    Irving, Texas - The Michaels Companies Inc. has recognized Polygroup Limited as its overall Vendor of the Year for product innovation, customer education and inspiration, quality products, and efficiency in supply chain. Michaels has also named Con-way Truckload as domestic transportation Supply Chain Partner of the Year and Kintetsu World Express Inc. as international Supply Chain Partner of the Year.

    Eleven vendor and supply chain partners were recognized for their contributions to Michaels' success over the past year.

    The arts and crafts retailers held a gala event in Dallas on August 7 and singled out 11 companies who demonstrated a commitment to surpassing expectations and continually providing excellence in service, quality and innovation.
     

  • Canadian Tire promotes Medline to president/CEO

    Toronto – Canadian Tire Corp. has named Michael Medline, who has served as company president since November 2013, as president and CEO effective Dec. 1. Current CEO Stephen Wetmore has agreed to remain on the board of directors in a new, non-executive position of deputy chairman.

  • Ace Hardware to join Spring Creek Village

    Dallas — Venture Commercial, an X Team International partner, has completed a lease to bring a 16,000-sq.-ft. Ace Hardware store to Spring Creek Village, located at 7989 Belt Line Road on the northwest corner of Belt Line and Coit Road in north Dallas. 

    Ace Hardware joins other Spring Creek tenants Just Fitness, Polly DuPont, Citi Bank, and Black-Eyed-Pea.

  • Aaron's seeks CEO

    Just under two weeks after Aaron’s posted disappointing second-quarter results, the company is seeking a new CEO. Ronald W. Allen, 72, plans to retire as the company’s CEO and will be stepping down from the board of directors, effective August 31, 2014.
