  • PlayNetwork expands with U.K.-based branch

    Redmond, Wash. -- PlayNetwork said Thursday it has launched into the European market and acquired Absolute Audio Systems Ltd., a U.K.-based provider of commercial media products and A/V systems integration services across Europe.

  • Red Mango makes regional debut at Cherry Hill Mall

    Cherry Hill, N.J. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) said that frozen yogurt purveyor Red Mango has opened at Cherry Hill Mall.

    The 196-sq.-ft. Red Mango kiosk is located near Macy’s Court and is the company’s first in the region.

  • LaVida Massage to open new Atlanta location

    Atlanta -- Commerce, Mich.-based LaVida Massage said it will open a new location in Kennesaw, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta.

    The new, 2,692-sq.-ft. center, a franchise location, is slated to open in early April.

  • LEED Volume Program celebrates its 500th certified pilot project

    Washington, D.C. -- More than 500 building projects have certified through the LEED Volume Program since the pilot launched in 2006, according to the U.S. Green Building Council. The LEED Volume Program streamlines the certification process for high-volume property owners and managers, from commercial real estate firms, national retailers and hospitality providers, to local, state and federal governments.

  • Terranova, Acadia acquire three buildings in $52 million deal

    Miami Beach, Fla. -- Joint venture affiliates of Terranova Corp. and Acadia Realty Trust announced they have closed on the acquisition of three Lincoln Road properties in Miami Beach, Fla.

    The approximately $52 million deal adds just over 61,000 sq. ft. to their urban street-front retail portfolios.

    Current tenants at the properties include Starbucks, Geox Shoes, and Zagat-rated restaurants Sushi Samba Dromo and Tacontento. Terranova will manage and lease the Lincoln Road properties.

  • Panda Express to open at Scharrington Square

    Schaumburg, Ill. -- Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.-based Mid-America Asset Management said that Panda Express signed a lease for 2,400 sq. ft. of space at Scharrington Square in Schaumburg, Ill., a northwest suburb of Chicago.

    Panda Express is slated to open this summer.

    Renewing leases at the 187,812-sq.-ft. Scharrington Square are anchor Jewel/Osco for 64,925 sq. ft. of space, and Panera Bread for 4,500 sq. ft. of space, which has plans to add a drive-through service.

  • Trademark retained to lease retail for Biltmore Park Town Square

    Fort Worth, Texas -- Trademark Property Co. said Tuesday that it has been hired to oversee all retail leasing for Biltmore Park Town Square, a 42-acre, one million-plus-sq.-ft. mixed-use property in Asheville, N.C., developed by Biltmore Farms, LLC and Crosland, LLC.

    The town center is anchored by an REI flagship store, Regal Cinemas, Barnes & Noble and features 276 urban residences and 270,000 sq. ft. of Class-A office space. It also offers a mix of local and regional retailers and restaurants in addition to a 165-room full-service Hilton Hotel.
