Bigg’s Place Mall sold, clears way for new Jungle Jim’s

2/25/2011

Cincinnati -- Colliers International Greater Cincinnati announced the $7.5 million sale of a multi-tenant, power center in the Eastgate trade area of Cincinnati.

The sale of Bigg’s Place Mall – from JPMCC 2006-LDP6 EastGate Boulevard, LLC to Union Township Clermont County CIC of Ohio -- will clear the way for a new Jungle Jim’s supermarket.

The 402,786-sq.-ft. center is currently home to Hobby Lobby, Regency Beauty, Original Mattress Factory, Danberry Cinema’s and Rincon Mexican Restaurant. Biggs Place Mall was anchored by Biggs Hypermarkets until June of 2010 when the location was closed.

Union Township has structured a long-term lease & purchase option with Fairfield, Ohio-based Jungle Jim’s to lease the former Biggs Hypermarket space. Jungle Jim’s will complete a renovation of the former grocery space and plan a grand opening in February 2012.
