  • Macy's adds new chef to culinary council

    NEW YORK — Macy’s announced that it has named Johnny Iuzzini to its culinary council. One of the nation's most celebrated and innovative pastry chefs, Iuzzini will join notable talents including Emeril Lagasse, Cat Cora, Wolfgang Puck and Marcus Samuelsson on this distinguished team. 

  • Glimcher to acquire partner interest in Pearlridge Center

    Honolulu -- Columbus, Ohio-based Glimcher Realty Trust announced plans to acquire 80% indirect ownership interest in Pearlridge Center, located in Honolulu, for about $290 million from partner Blackstone Real Estate Partners.

    “With sales of nearly $500 per square foot and a dynamic growth profile, this strategic investment is consistent with our goal of enhancing the quality of our real estate portfolio,” said Michael Glimcher, chairman and CEO, Glimcher.

  • Jones Lang LaSalle awarded property management of Village of Cross Keys

    Baltimore -- Jones Lang LaSalle announced Monday that its Retail Group has been selected by Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp. as the property manager of The Village of Cross Keys, a two-level, open-air retail center north of downtown Baltimore.

    The Village of Cross Keys is a mixed-use center with 179,000 sq. ft. of office space and an 81,000-sq.-ft. retail center featuring Chico’s, Williams-Sonoma and Talbots, among others. The retail offerings on site are complemented by a 146-room Radisson Hotel, 700 residential units and a large office park.

  • Alliance Data to continue to manage private label credit card program for Little Switzerland

    Dallas -- Alliance Data Systems Corp. has signed a multi-year renewal agreement to continue managing the private label credit card program for duty-free jewelry retailer Little Switzerland.

  • Wine Lab opens second location at The Camp

    Costa Mesa, Calif. -- ChrisAnn and Roger Richards announced the opening of their second wine and cheese bar and shop, Wine Lab at The Camp, located in the restaurant and shopping destination at 2937 Bristol Street in Costa Mesa, Calif.

    The 1,270 sq.-ft. bar, designed with a mid-century flair, augments the debut location in Newport, Calif., and features wines and beer on tap as well as a retail shop.
     

  • Louis Vuitton’s Award-Winning Island Jewel

    Louis Vuitton Island Maison, part of the Marina Bay Sands resort complex in Singapore, represents the ultimate in luxury retail destinations. The striking crystal and glass structure, which sits directly on the water, was awarded top honors in the Association for Retail Environments’ (A.R.E.) design competition. It features the entire the complete Louis Vuitton offering, from its men's and women's collections to jewelry and accessories. It also houses a bookstore with a curated selection of books on travel, design, art and culture.

  • The Sporting Club opens at Voorhees Town Center

    Voorhees, N.J. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust announced that The Sporting Club fitness center has opened a 13,000-sq.-ft. satellite location at Voorhees Town Center, located in Voorhees, N.J.

    Located on the Boulevard, Sporting Club joins Firecreek Restaurant + Bar, Doghouse Gourmet Burgers, Coffee Works Café, Rizzieri Studio Salon, Rizzieri Aveda School for Beauty & Wellness, Rizzieri School for the Healing Arts, and It’s A Doggie Dog World, which just opened in early March.

  • Mid-City Market breaks ground in New Orleans

    New Orleans -- Covington, La.-based Stirling Properties announced that urban shopping center development Mid-City Market has broken ground in New Orleans, along the North Carrollton Avenue commercial corridor.
     
    Opening in early 2013, Mid-City Market will complement the proposed Lafitte Greenway pedestrian and bicycle pathway that will border the shopping center.
