  • Energy Kitchen to open at Suniland Shopping Center

    Miami Beach, Fla. -- Terranova Corp. announced that healthy fast-food chain Energy Kitchen will open a new 2,500-sq.-ft. restaurant at Suniland Shopping Center, located in Miami Beach, Fla.

    The new store will be Energy Kitchen’s first in south Florida. The New York City-based chain operates 10 stores in the New York City area, with, according to Energy Kitchen, approximately 55 stores in development in Florida, Washington D.C., Boston, White Plains, Long Island and Maryland.

  • Hurricane Grill & Wings on accelerated growth path

    West Palm Beach, Fla. — Hurricane Grill & Wings announced it has signed seven new domestic development agreements, adding commitments for 233 new restaurants to its 42 existing locations.

    The new development agreements will contribute to the company's accelerated growth plan with new locations in 15 states, including California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Maryland, Missouri, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and District of Columbia.

  • Survey: St. Patrick’s Day spending should give retailers a boost

    Washington, D.C. -- Total spending on St. Patrick’s Day festivities is expected to hit $4.14 billion this, according to NRF’s 2011 St. Patrick’s Day Consumer Intentions and Actions survey, conducted by BIGresearch. The survey found that 52.4% of Americans will celebrate the Irish holiday, up from 45.2% last year and the most in the survey’s eight year history.

    Moorestown, N.J. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) said Friday that Sakura House has opened a 980-sq.-ft. Japanese eatery at Moorestown Mall, located in Moorestown, N.J.

    The new location, in the Food Court, joins the recently opened Bubby’s Brisket and Elevation Burger.

    Pembroke Pines, Fla. -- Indianapolis-based Kite Realty Group said Thursday that five new tenants will open at Cobblestone Plaza, located in Pembroke Pines, Fla.

    The center is anchored by Whole Foods, All Pets Emporium and Party City.
