  • Deloitte: This mobile consumer activity is on the rise

    Consumers are increasingly using their mobile phones for one specific retail-related purpose.

    According to the Deloitte 2015 Global Mobile Consumer Survey, the use of mobile devices to make in-store payments has nearly quadrupled in the past year. In-store mobile payments have increased from 5% of total in-store payments 2014 to 18% in 2015.

  • Dunkin’ Donuts expanding with former NFL players

    Dunkin’ Donuts has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with a franchise group led by two former NFL players.

    The chain said it has signed an agreement with Berliner III to develop 14 new restaurants in St. Louis and two new locations in Kansas City over the next several years. Berliner III is led by NFL greats and former University of Nebraska football players Kris Brown and Zach Wiegert, who have teamed up with David Scott to develop a third market.

    St. Charles, Mo. -- Cullinan Properties welcomes two new tenants to its mixed-use development Streets of St. Charles located in St. Charles, Missouri. MOD, a boutique specializing in affordable fashion for women of all age, will open its fourth location in spring 2016 on Beale Street and Supercuts is expected to open in early 2016.

  • Roof leak leads to $1.35 million slip and fall verdict against fast-food restaurant

    A law firm obtained a $1.35 million verdict for a victim after showing that Chipotle Mexican Grille was negligent in failing to repair a roof leak which, the firm said, ultimately lead to the victim's injuries.

  • New café opens in Texas development

    Top Pot Doughnuts will open its third Texas retail café at the new Richardson CityLine development located in Richardson.

    The Seattle-based doughnut and coffee chain operates 20 stores in the Seattle-Tacoma and Dallas areas.

    "We are thrilled to be a part of CityLine,” saidTop Pot Doughnuts co-founder Mark Klebeck. "We look forward to serving the businesses in this highly anticipated development as well as the residents of Richardson and Plano.”

  • Georgia will be running on Dunkin

    Dunkin’ Donuts is expanding big time in Georgia.

    The chain announced that 46 new restaurants will be developed throughout Georgia over the next several years, with six franchise groups.

    The company also said remains on track for the development of 410 to 440 net new Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the U.S. in 2015.

    Currently, there are more than 150 Dunkin' Donuts restaurants located throughout Georgia.

  • New leases bring Feil's Nassau Mall & Kohl's Plaza to full occupancy

    New York -- The Feil Organization announced the completion of Nassau Mall and Kohl's Plaza complex renovation in Levittown, New York. The renovation consisted of a new façade and re-tenanting the centers, which resulted in four new leases totaling approximately 11,000 sq. ft. and 100% occupancy at both centers.

  • Johnny Rockets targets three new global markets

    Fast-casual dining chain Johnny Rockets is expanding its range to include customers in the countries of Italy, Paraguay and Canada.

    As part of its strategy to double its global footprint by 2017, Johnny Rockets has signed agreements for 49 new restaurant locations in those three new markets. Some locations will open as early as 2016.
