  • Hell’s Kitchen’s Island Burger to open its second location on Upper West Side

    New York City -- Winick Realty Group announced that Island Burgers & Shakes, the 15-year-old burger restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen, has signed a lease for its second Manhattan location at 422 Amsterdam Avenue, between 80th and 81st Streets on the Upper West Side.

    Island Burgers & Shakes will occupy 700 sq. ft. of ground-floor space, as well as a 500-sq.-ft. basement, when it opens later this year.

  • Forum Shops at Caesars announces more retailers, expansions

    Las Vegas -- The Forum Shops at Caesars, in Las Vegas, announced that six new stores will be opening soon, joining the 11 new stores and restaurants that have come to The Forum Shops in the past year.

    The new stores include Christian Louboutin, Rimowa, Panerai, Hublot and Coach Mens – a first in Las Vegas.

  • It’s not the economy. Or the cost-cutting.

    Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz told Britain’s Sky.com that the chain’s focus on improving its offerings and encouraging innovation as opposed to cost-cutting and store-closings are the reasons for its turnaround.

    “You can’t “cut your way to prosperity,” Schultz said. “You have to create growth and opportunity.”

  • Victoria’s Secret at Miracle Mile to undergo multi-million dollar remodel

    New York City -- Victoria’s Secret will begins construction on a multi- million dollar renovation of its store in Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas in late May.

    Construction will take approximately three-months to complete. The newly renovated 7,722-sq.-ft. store will serve as a prototype for Victoria’s Secret, featuring various design elements not found at any of its other Las Vegas locations. 

  • Publix to sell Crispers chain

    Lakeland, Fla. -- Publix Super Markets said that it has reached a deal to sell the Crispers restaurant chain to Healthy Food Concepts, an affiliate of the Miami-based investment group Boyne Capital Partners. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

    Crispers is a fast-casual restaurant chain serving soup, salads and sandwiches with 36 locations in Florida.
     

  • Publix sells Crispers business

    LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix Super Markets announced that it has entered into a contract to sell Crispers, the fresh salads, soups and sandwiches restaurant company it purchased in February 2007, to Healthy Food Concepts, LLC, an affiliate of a Florida-based investment group.

  • American Dream will be world’s largest retail/entertainment complex

    East Rutherford, N.J. -- Triple Five on Monday gave more information on its plans to transform the controversial and long-delayed Xanadu project in New Jersey’s Meadowlands Sports Complex, in East Rutherford, into what it promises will be “the world's largest and premier tourism, entertainment and retail destination, eventually reaching 7.5 million sq. ft.”
