Lululemon has promoted its executive VP of international to a C-suite role.

Lululemon is shaking up its leadership team.

The athleticwear brand has announced that Celeste Burgoyne, president of the Americas and global guest innovation, will depart from the company at the end of December 2025. In conjunction with the departure, Lululemon has consolidated regional leadership across the company and has named André Maestrini as president and chief commercial officer, effective immediately.

In the newly-created role, Maestrini will oversee all of Lululemon’s regions, stores, and digital channels globally, as well as the brand’s global commercial strategy with a focus on “continued market expansion, revenue generation, and accelerating best practice sharing.”

Maestrini joined Lululemon in 2021 as executive VP of international. In that role, he oversaw the brand’s operations in EMEA, APAC and China Mainland, and helped to more than quadruple Lululemon's international revenues, according to the company.

“André has demonstrated a proven ability to unlock opportunities, advance our global expansion, and deliver growth across multiple markets,” said Lululemon CEO Calvin McDonald. “Leveraging operational discipline, deep guest insights, and extensive brand-building experience, André is the ideal person to lead our business across all markets, including North America, as we remain focused on delivering value for our guests, employees and shareholders.”

Before joining Lululemon, Maestrini spent 14 years at Adidas in various senior roles across the globe. During this time, he served in a number of general manager positions where he helped grow the company’s global sports categories and regional markets. Prior to Adidas, Maestrini held marketing roles at The Coca-Cola Company, Danone, and Kraft Jacobs Suchard.

The outgoing Burgoyne joined Lululemon in 2006 and became the company’s first president in 2020.

“We are grateful for Celeste’s leadership and significant contributions to Lululemon’s business and culture over the past 19 years,” added McDonald. “She has been instrumental in growing our footprint in the Americas, creating high-quality guest experiences, and mentoring our teams across the organization.”

In addition to Maestrini's promotion, a Lululemon spokesperson confirmed to Chain Store Age that Carla Anderson, who is a long-time company veteran, has been promoted to an expanded role of senior VP and general manager of North America, and will report directly to Maestrini alongside Lululemon chief digital officer Danny Ryder. The company’s leaders for APAC, EMEA, and China Mainland will continue to report to Maestrini.

Anderson has been with Lululemon for over 20 years and began her career as an educator in one of the brand's first stores in Toronto. After many years of taking on progressively senior leadership roles within lululemon, she relocated to Vancouver in 2015 to start a new role as general manager for the U.S., a position she held until 2017. Currently, Anderson serves as senior VP of North America retail, and she will step into her newly expanded effective immediately.
