It’Sugar taps Sephora vet as VP of stores

Rob Trujillo has been named VP of stores at It’Sugar.

It’Sugar is expanding its leadership team.

The specialty candy retailer, whose 100 U.S. stores include a 22,000-sq.-ft. outpost at mega-center American Dream, has tapped Rob Trujillo as VP of stores. He will be responsible for delivering It’Sugar stores sales and operating results and participating in the strategic leadership of the company as a member of the executive team.

Most recently, Trujillo served as VP, retail special projects, at Sephora. Prior to that, he was VP of stores, East. Trujillo joined the beauty giant in 2004 as a district manager and went on to hold positions of increasing responsibility.

At It’Sugar, Trujillo will spearhead the execution of merchandise and presentation directives, while leading the selection, hiring, training, development and retaining of top field talent to meet current and future business needs. He will also seek to create partnerships for key corporate functions such as merchandising, planning and replenishment, visual and store design, human resources and finance.
