Instacart Shoppers have new learning options.

Instacart is providing a set of upgraded training and skill development features on its shopper app.

The grocery technology company is offering a new, upgraded version of its Carrot Academy mobile learning platform for its shoppers. Starting Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, the updated Instacart Carrot Academy introduces new features, including more than 40 redesigned optional lessons and brand-new multimedia content, including videos made by fellow shoppers, animated content, and micro-lessons.

These optional lessons are designed to help shoppers improve on subjects like boosting their shopping quality score and improving their shopping accuracy.

An all-new "For You" page curates optional lessons based on unique experiences, such as total batches shopped and location. In addition, shoppers can now use single sign-on to gain access to optional lessons directly within the Instacart shopper app, without needing to remember a separate password or navigate to external platforms.

Shoppers can also reach lessons and content through in-app inbox, emails, or the “Your Stats” section of the shopper app.

"The fully refreshed Carrot Academy is just one of the key investments we’re making to empower shoppers to deliver shopping excellence," Instacart said in a corporate blog post. "By addressing critical pain points, such as login issues and external browser redirects, and offering more personalization, dynamic content, and seamless access to all learning resources, we’re giving shoppers even more opportunities to learn and grow."

Planned future updates to Carrot Academy are intended to expand its offering with desktop learning options, deeper integration with a shopper’s individual experience, completion incentives, and more dynamic and multi-lingual content.

The introduction of the upgraded Carrot Academy is occurring as Instacart is also rolling out other new and enhanced offerings for its shoppers. These include the introduction of a shopper rewards card and business bank account in partnership with workforce payments platform Branch, as well as a refresh of its Cart Star shopper rewards program that offers a more tailored and streamlined process for receiving perks.
