Following are closer looks at each of the new Home Depot online delivery partnerships:
DoorDash
Home Depot is now available for on-demand delivery with DoorDash. This partnership fulfills digital orders from the home improvement giant to both the doorstep and worksite in as little as an hour.
"Combining DoorDash's fast and convenient platform with The Home Depot's existing same-day and next-day delivery options, homedepot.com offers our customers even more flexibility and convenience to shop in the way that best suits their needs," said Jordan Broggi, executive VP of customer experience and president of online at The Home Depot.
Home Depot products can now be purchased directly on the DoorDash app by both DIY customers at home and professional customers on a job site. In 2024, DoorDash expanded its selection on its app to categories including apparel, home improvement, and arts and crafts. The delivery platform now offers more than 115,000 non-restaurant stores on its marketplace in North America with access to nearly 2 million items across categories.
"We’re excited to partner with The Home Depot to give DIY and pro customers immediate access to the home improvement supplies they need," said Mike Goldblatt, VP of new verticals partnerships at DoorDash. "Amidst a project and out of nails, screw heads or drill bits, on-demand delivery from DoorDash can save time and any added stress."
Uber Eats
Home Depot is also teaming up with the Uber Eats online delivery subsidiary of Uber Technologies Inc. to let its customers order Home Depot products directly through the Uber Eats app for on-demand or scheduled delivery.
"Our stores are core to The Home Depot's business, and expanding our e-commerce capabilities is a key part of our efforts to deliver a seamless interconnected shopping experience," said Jordan Broggi, executive VP of customer experience and president of online The Home Depot. "By complementing our current same-day and next-day delivery services on homedepot.com with Uber Eats' speedy and user-friendly platform, we're offering more options to serve our customers however they prefer to shop."
This collaboration will provide online delivery access from more than 2,000 Home Depot store locations to customer doorsteps and job sites. Customers can order from a curated assortment of products such as tools, building materials and gardening supplies.
Deliveries can be requested for on-demand service or scheduled at a convenient time and customers can follow their deliveries in real-time, from the store to their door.
"Teaming up with The Home Depot is a new step forward in serving consumers through delivery in even more aspects of their lives," said Hashim Amin, Head of North American grocery and retail delivery at Uber Eats. "Together, we're breaking down barriers and making it easier for people to access the products they need for their projects, all from the convenience of their phone or computer, with the reliability Uber is known for."
