Grubhub streamlines ordering from multiple retailers, teams with FTD
Grubhub customers can now combine items from two eligible stores into a single order and also get flower deliveries from FTD.
The on-demand delivery platform, which was acquired by Wonder, the delivery-focused restaurant company founded by former Walmart executive Marc Lore, for $650 million in late 2024, is launching a new feature called multi-store ordering.
Timed to go live before summer starts, multi-store ordering enables customers to combine items from two different retailers on a single order within one checkout flow and one delivery fee, without toggling between apps or placing multiple orders.
Multi-store ordering is launching alongside an expanded selection of non-restaurant partners on Grubhub, including recently added Walgreens and Pet Supplies Plus.
"Today’s customers aren’t just ordering dinner—they’re looking for smarter, more convenient ways to check multiple things off their list in a single tap," said Emma Cai, director of product management at Grubhub. "With multi-store ordering, we’re creating a more unified shopping and delivery experience that reflects how people actually live — combining everything from sushi to snacks to birthday bouquets in one order."
Grubhub previously added a number of features to its consumer app in summer 2024. These included "you might also like" suggestions on the app cart screen, priority delivery for $2.49, a live activity tracking tool for iOS devices, self-service reporting of delivery issues, app homepage personalization, and an in-app digital wallet storing and displaying user credits.

Grubhub partners with FTD
Grubhub is also entering its first national flower partnership with florist retail network operator FTD. With access to nearly 3,000 local florists in FTD’s network, Grubhub customers can now browse and send handcrafted bouquets.
FTD orders placed through Grubhub are eligible for multi-store orders.
“This partnership reflects our broader vision of Grubhub as a go-to destination for more of life’s everyday needs,” Grubhub said. “And because flowers can now be ordered with other items through multi-store ordering, it’s even easier for customers to get what they want—meals, gifts, or essentials—in one smooth, simplified experience.”
Grubhub features more than 375,000 restaurant and other retail partners in over 4,000 U.S. cities. FTD, a portfolio company of Nexus Capital Management, operates one of the largest florist networks in the world, with over 30,000 floral shops in more than 125 countries.
