GBT Realty plans Nashville's largest new retail development in over a decade
A new retail center is in the works for the suburbs of Tennessee’s largest city and capital.
GBT Realty Corporation has announced plans for The Crossroads of Gallatin retail development in Gallatin, Tenn., located 30 miles northeast of Nashville, which will span nearly 300,000 square feet.
The site plan includes approximately 30,000 square feet of divisible shop space, multiple larger retail spaces ranging from approximately 5,000 to 55,000 square feet, and six outparcels ranging from approximately one to 1.7 acres.
GBT says the property will be the largest new shopping destination constructed in the Nashville area since 2015. It added that it is currently in advanced discussions with leading retailers to open up shop at the development.

The Crossroads of Gallatin will be positioned at a “critical gateway,” connecting Gallatin with Hendersonville and the greater Nashville region. The 42.5-acre site is also surrounded by one of Sumner County’s most active residential growth corridors, with more than 15,000 residential units planned or proposed within a 10-minute drive.
GBT noted that more than 63,000 residents and 24,500 households with average household incomes exceeding $124,000 currently reside in the same area.
“Gallatin is no longer a quiet Nashville suburb, as it has emerged as one of Middle Tennessee’s most compelling growth stories,” said George Tomlin, founder, president and chairman of GBT Realty. “The Crossroads of Gallatin will meet that growth with a collection of retailers, restaurants, health and wellness providers and services that complement the community and make everyday life more convenient. This is destined to be one of the most important retail destinations in Sumner County.”
Founded in 1987, GBT currently has more than $1 billion of commercial development totaling 5 million square feet in the pipeline or under construction by its shopping center, net lease and diversified development divisions.
