Ralph Lauren has opened its newest North American store in the heart of the trendy Jackson Square Historic District of San Francisco.

The 2,000-sq.-ft.-plus Polo Ralph Lauren outpost features both men’s and women’s Polo Ralph Lauren and Double RL items, alongside exclusive, hand-selected vintage apparel and accessories.

Ralph Lauren Jackson Street features a custom, dark green painted storefront, accented by hand-painted gold leaf and brass signage. The interior boasts an open, loft-like layout, stained oak floors, white-painted brick walls and an open wood joist ceiling.

Antique vintage fixtures and custom millwork cases complement the space, with layers of decorative art and furnishings adding warmth and contextual character.  The design embodies Ralph Lauren’s iconic brand, creating a sophisticated and inviting shopping experience, while also paying homage to the rich history of the building and surrounding neighborhood, Ralph Lauren said in a release.

Unlike San Francisco’s Union Square, which has seen numerous retail closings, the Jackson Square neighborhood is thriving. The area is known for its rich history dating back to California’s Gold Rush as the city’s early central business district. Today, the neighborhood’s historic buildings are home to a growing number of high-end retail and dining destinations.

Ralph Lauren previously had two stores in San Francisco, both of which closed, one in 2013 and the other in 2020.

“The opening of the new store marks Ralph Lauren's return to the San Francisco market and reinforces the company’s continued focus on its key city ecosystem approach, including strengthening its presence on the West Coast, driving elevation and delivering a consistent experience for Ralph Lauren consumers across all touch points around the world,” the company stated in a release.
