First Look: Cole Haan expands its Los Angeles footprint
Cole Haan has unveiled its newest store in the Golden State.
Just in time for the holidays, the footwear and accessories brand opened a new full price retail location in California’s Glendale Galleria — the third-largest mall in Los Angeles county. The new location, which opened Nov. 20, is the retailer’s second store in the county of Los Angeles, and fifth in California.
The 1,866-sq.-ft. boutique blends classic design with contemporary ease. The new space offers a warm, elevated experience that invites customers to explore the brand's winter 2025 collection alongside its core classics. Natural wood tones, soft lighting and graceful architectural details create a relaxed, welcoming environment — the perfect setting to explore Cole Haan’s latest styles and inspire shoppers this holiday season.
Cole Haan’s new Glendale location is its fourth store opening his fall, coinciding with the retailer’s long-term global expansion plan.
The retailer kicked off its expansion plan this year with a lifestyle design concept in the Big Apple. Located in New York City’s historic Flatiron District, the 1,622-sq.-ft. store is in a 1904 neo-Renaissance landmark building. It has an an open floor plan, and features floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light, creating an inviting and airy atmosphere. This is Cole Haan’s third NYC outpost.
In a report by WWD, this was the first of at least five or six stores the company planned to build this year, Jack Boys, CEO of Cole Haan, told the publication. The report added that the retailer could “easily double” the 500 stores it currently operates across the globe. In North America alone, Boys told WWD he expects to open another 30 to 40 stores in the top 18 urban and suburban areas where the brand resonates the best.
Launched in 1928 and based in Chicago, Cole Haan operates more than 500 stores in nearly 100 countries.
