An iconic fast-food hamburger chain is taking a bite out of holiday e-commerce.
White Castle is offering its first-ever online holiday gift guide, “House of Crave.” Supported by promotional merchandise/workwear platform CSE Powered by Halo, the site features an assortment of White Castle-branded gift items. In addition to the same coffee and mustard that are served in its restaurants, White Castle’s holiday merchandise includes an ugly holiday sweater created in partnership with the Ugly Sweater Store, as well as socks, hats, lunchboxes, mugs, and ornaments.
All orders received by Monday, Dec. 2 (Cyber Monday) will receive free ground shipping. Orders placed by Dec. 16 will arrive in time for Christmas; expedited shipping will be available after that date for an additional cost.
White Castle is not the only casual dining retailer getting into seasonal direct-to-consumer sales of branded merchandise. Dunkin’ Donuts is operating an online holiday pop-up shop, which it has already promised to bring back in 2020.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, White Castle owns and operates more than 375 restaurants in 13 states.
