CVH Health has terminated several employees on the heels of an internal investigation on how it handled sexual harassment complaints.

There’s been a shakeup at CVS Health Corp.

Karen Lynch, who took the reins as CEO of CVS in February 2021, has terminated several employees, including executives, after the company conducted an internal investigation about how it handled sexual harassment complaints, reported CNBC.

According to the report, Lynch learned about complaints made by at least two female employees who alleged that a New Jersey-based regional store manager (who was responsible for hundreds of stores) touched them inappropriately or harassed them at work. The company hired an outside firm to conduct an independent review and, after the review was completed and substantiated the complaints, CVS “terminated the individual and others have since been exited from the company for failing to treat allegations with the seriousness we expect.”

“We absolutely do not tolerate behavior or actions that are harassing, hostile, abusive or discriminatory,” stated the company, in the CNBC report.

In a memo sent to employees on Friday that was obtained by CNBC, Lynch said the company is stepping up how it handles internal reports and investigations. She said CVS has created the Office of Workplace Assistance, which she will personally oversee along with the company’s chief policy officer and general counsel, Tom Moriarty.

The news was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.
