C&S Wholesale Grocers is delivering advanced digital product content.
The largest wholesale grocery supply company in the U.S. is enhancing customer support in product identification, interaction and ordering.
C&S Wholesale Grocers has chosen NielsenIQ Brandbank, a provider of digital product content solutions, as its digital product content partner. This implementation will make NielsenIQ Brandbank content available across all C&S Wholesale business functions and all stores supported by C&S Wholesale.
NielsenIQ Brandbank content will support C&S efforts to provide product imagery and verified product attribution. C&S Wholesale intends the new digital product content to aid its retailer partners with a wide variety of use cases, including planogram solutions, mid-aisle product ordering, and digital/print production.
This implementation also enables contracted NielsenIQ Brandbank suppliers to have their approved digital product content syndicated to C&S Wholesale and its retail partners at no additional cost.
C&S Wholesale pursues expansion C&S Wholesale is improving its ability to supply retail partners with relevant digital product content as the company has been expanding the scope of its operations.
In 2021, C&S Wholesale purchased Albertsons' frozen service contract from Burris Logistics. The company entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Albertsons' frozen service contract from Burris Logistics in spring 2021 and closed the agreement later in the year.
2021 also saw C&S Wholesale acquire Piggly Wiggly Midwest, which operates corporate stores and services independent franchisees under a chain-style program. As part of the acquisition, C&S will operate 11 Piggly Wiggly Midwest corporate stores and service 14 Butera Market stores in the Chicago area, as well as 84 Wisconsin franchisees under the Piggly Wiggly brand. Piggly Wiggly's current distribution centers and offices will continue to operate. C&S will also remain the primary supplier for Butera Market stores.
