  • Marketing firm strengthens senior management team

    BOCA RATON, Fla. — DubLi, a global marketing company that provides consumers around the world with a variety of innovative, online shopping and entertainment opportunities, announced that it has strengthened its senior management team with the appointments of Eric Nelson to CFO, Ricardo Daglio to chief technology officer and Thomas Sikora to chief product officer.

  • Victoria’s Secret to make Hong Kong debut

    Columbus, Ohio -- A Wednesday report by Bloomberg said that Limited Brands’ Victoria’s Secret banner would open its first stores in Hong Kong this year.

    On the boards are two 1,500-sq.-ft. Victoria’s Secret shops at the International Finance Centre in the Central business district and at New Town Plaza. Bloomberg cited an emailed statement by Limited spokesperson Robin Hoffman.

     

  • Albertsons appoints division presidents

    BOISE, Idaho — Albertsons named the division presidents who will lead the 877 stores it will acquire from Supervalu after the purchase agreement closes next month, the company said. The two companies agreed to the purchase in January.

  • PGA Tour Superstore to open in Irvine, Calif.

    Roswell, Ga. -- PGA Tour Superstore will open its second store on the West Coast, a 50,000-sq.ft, location in Irvine, Calif., later this year.

    "We are excited to be expanding into Southern California, which encompasses one of the nation's most renowned golf areas in the country," said PGA Tour Superstore president and CEO Dick Sullivan.

    With the addition of this store, the number of PGA Tour Superstores will increase nationwide to 17.

  • Ulta Beauty CEO named chief executive of Michaels Stores

    Irving, Texas -- Michaels Stores has named Chuck Rubin as CEO and a member of the board of directors. Rubin is currently the president and CEO of Ulta Beauty.

    Rubin will assume his new roles after a brief period of transition, at which time Michaels will discontinue the “Office of the Chief Executive Officer,” established on an interim basis in May 2012. Charles "Chuck" Sonsteby, a member of the Office of the CEO, will continue as Michaels’ CFO and chief administrative officer.

  • Limited CEO named CEO of Lane Bryant

    Suffern, N.Y. -- Ascena Retail Group announced that Linda Heasley has accepted the position of president and CEO of Lane Bryant effective Feb. 18. Heasley joins Lane Bryant division after six years as president and CEO of The Limited. (The Limited has announced a search for a new chief executive.)

  • CEO of The Limited stepping down; retailer names interim management team

    Columbus, Ohio -- The Limited has established an interim “Office of the President” to manage the day-to-day operations of the business while it searches for a new CEO. The retailer said that its chief executive, Linda Heasley, who joined in 2007, is stepping down to pursue other interests effective Feb. 15.
       
    The interim office will be filled by three current executives, John Buell, EVP and CFO; Nicolas Frechette, SVP and general merchandise manager; and William Acevedo, SVP of stores; who will report to the board of directors.
