  • Eddie Bauer names former VF Outdoor CFO as new COO/CFO

    Bellevue, Wash. -- Eddie Bauer LLC said Monday it has named Daniel E. Templin as COO and CFO of the company.

    Templin was previously CFO for VF Outdoor, which includes brands such as The North Face, Vans, JanSport and Timberland.

    Eddie Bauer also announced that current CFO Marv Toland will move into the newly created role of senior VP Direct with responsibility for the brand's e-commerce and catalog businesses.

     

  • Macy's campaign channels sitcom fun

    NEW YORK — Macy's is paying homage to the TV sitcom with its new, "What's in Store?" campaign.

    The campaign, which debuted on Sept. 10, will consist of a series of comedic shorts featuring new Macy’s Herald Square store manager, Harold, as he collides with the many stars and wacky situations that make the “World’s Largest Store” a haven for the fun and fashionable.

  • Walmart a leader for Latinas, according to magazine

    Walmart was ranked second on this year’s Latina Style 50 Report, the publication announced earlier this week.

    Now in its 15th year, the Latina Style 50 report seeks to identify companies that are providing the best career opportunities for Latinas in the U.S. Cable television operator Comcast was this year’s top ranked company.

  • Dillard's names VP real estate

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Dillard's has named Chris Johnson as the company's VP real estate. Johnson, who has served as the Dillard's VP accounting since 2006, will assume the role following the retirement of James Cherry, Jr. in December.

  • Massage Envy to open at Cobblestone Plaza

    Pembroke Pines, Fla. -- Indianapolis-based, Kite Realty Group said that Massage Envy has leased 4,066 sq. ft. at Cobblestone Plaza, located in Pembroke Pines, Fla. 

    Kite Realty Group represented the landlord, KRG CREC/KS Pembroke Pines, LLC.

    Cobblestone Plaza is anchored by Whole Foods, All Pets Emporium and Party City. The center sites on approximately 22 acres with 140,452 sq. ft. of retail space.
     

  • Francesca’s to open at Delray Marketplace

    Delray Beach, Fla. -- Indianapolis-based Kite Realty Group said that Francesca’s Collections has leased 1,200 sq. ft. at Delray Marketplace, located in Delray Beach, Fla. 

    The center will open November 2012 and will be anchored by Publix and Franks Theatre/Imax. The 264,823-sq.-ft. Delray Marketplace is owned by KRG Atlantic Delray Beach, LLC. Other tenants include ROC, White House | Black Market, Apricot Lane, Bobby Chan, Jos. A. Banks, Charming Charlie and Chico’s.

  • Divaris completes eight retail leases in central Virginia

    Virginia Beach, Va. -- Divaris Real Estate said that the company completed eight lease transactions totaling more than 81,000 sq. ft. of retail space in central Virginia.

    Children’s Museum of Richmond leased 26,060 sq. ft. of retail space in the Divaris-leased Winterpock Crossing Shopping Center, located in Midlothian, Va.

    K&G Menswear signed a lease for 22,888 sq. ft. of retail space in White Oak Village, located in Richmond and owned by Forest City Commercial Group.

  • Retailers make strong gains in August; Macy's, Limited Brands and Gap Inc. top estimates

    New York -- Macy's, Limited Brands and Gap Inc. all posted August same-store sales that topped analysts' estimates as retailers across the board generally posted strong sales, boosted by back-to-school shopping and aggressive promotions. The strong showing comes shortly after the news that consumer confidence for August slumped to its lowest level of the year.
