  • IBM: Cyber Monday sales up 21%; biggest online shopping day ever

    Armonk, N.Y. - Shoppers made Cyber Monday 2013 the biggest online shopping day in history with a 20.6% increase in online sales. The latest cloud-based analytics findings from IBM show that mobile sales led the way, exceeding 17% of total online sales, an increase of 55.4% year-over-year.

    Cyber Monday also capped what IBM data indicates is the highest five-day online sales period on record from Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday, which grew 16.5% from the same period in 2012.

  • Adobe: Cyber Monday online sales total $2.29 billion

    San Jose, Calif. – Cyber Monday sales set a new record at $2.29 billion online, representing 16% year-over-year (YoY) growth. New Adobe Digital Index 2013 data also indicates a record 18.3% of sales came from mobile devices, an increase of 80% YoY.

    New York -- Cyber Monday online sales are up 17.5% over the same period last year as of 6 p.m. EST on Monday, according to IBM Digital Analytics Benchmark.

    Mobile traffic accounted for 29.4% of all online traffic, up almost 62% compared to the same period last year.

  • Adobe reports record Cyber Monday sales

    Online sales on Cyber Monday increased by 16% to $2.29 billion compared to last year, according to Adobe’s Digital Index 2013, and a record 18.3% of those sales came from mobile devices — a surge of 80% compared to last year.

    Consumer shopping preferences continued to shift online with Cyber Monday being the fifth day in a row of record-breaking online sales. While “brick and click” retailers dominated Thanksgiving weekend sales, Internet retailers generated the most sales on Cyber Monday with a 42% share.

  • BDO survey: Retailers using social media as part of holiday blitz

    Chicago -- A majority (88%) of retailers are using social media as part of their 2013 holiday marketing blitz. But they still remain divided about mobile marketing, with only 38% using it this year, down from 50% in 2012.

  • IBM: Online sales up 14.5% over Thanksgiving weekend

    New York -- Overall online sales from Thanksgiving through Sunday were up 14.5% in 2013 over the same period last year, according to IBM Digital Analytics Benchmark. Mobile traffic accounted for 40.9% of all online traffic, up more than 35% percent compared to the same period last year. Mobile sales remained strong, reaching 23.2% of all online sales, up 43.7% year-over-year.
