  • OfficeMax unveils upgraded dry erase markers

    Naperville, Ill. — OfficeMax announced that is unveiling a new and improved version of its TUL branded dry erase markers.

    TUL dry erase markers feature non-toxic ink formula with reduced odor, a rubberized grip, ergonomic square design, and built-in magnets compatible with magnetic dry-erase boards. The lineup also includes an eraser on the cap of each marker as well as a separate magnetic eraser.

  • Ross Dress for Less to open at Target Place Plaza

    Olympia, Wash. -- Youngstown, Ohio-based Cafaro Co. said Tuesday that Ross Dress for Less will open a new store at its Target Place Plaza, located in Olympia, Wash.

    The new 28,000-sq.-ft. store will open to the public on March 5.

    Target Place Plaza is a 282,183-sq.-ft. center anchored by Target, along with Ross Dress For Less, OfficeMax, Macy’s Furniture Gallery, FedEx Kinkos, Whistle Workwear, Honey Baked Ham, Jo-Ann Etc. and more.

  • Office Max swings to profit in Q4 on cost controls

    Naperville, Ill. -- OfficeMax swung to a fourth-quarter profit as the company retailer continued to cut costs, though sales declined in both its contract and retail segments.

    OfficeMax reported earnings of $12.7 million, compared with a year-earlier loss of $2.58 million. Revenue decreased 2.4% to $1.77 billion. The chain expects sales to be flat for 2011.

  • ACSI shows customer satisfaction remains strong

    ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The American Customer Satisfaction Index has dropped just 0.1% from the previous quarter to 75.9 on the ACSI's 100-point scale, indicating that customers satisfaction remains strong, the ACSI reported.

  • OfficeMax introduces new DiVOGA desk line

    NAPERVILLE, Ill.  — OfficeMax announced the launch of DiVOGA desk products and accessories featuring the limited edition Catherine collection. According to the company, the line features a contemporary take on the traditional brocade patterns dating back to eighteenth century Europe. 

    DiVOGA Catherine is available for purchase at OfficeMax stores nationwide and other select retail partners of OfficeMax starting February 2011.

  • OfficeMax upgrades smartphone app

    NAPERVILLE, Ill. - OfficeMax announced it has launched a new enhanced 2.0 version of its free for the iPhone App on the App Store and is making the App available on Google's Android platform. The 2.0 version gives users the ability to view OfficeMax's weekly ad and special offers -- all right from their mobile device.  OfficeMax also added local store hours and phone numbers to the App's GPS-enabled store locator function.

  • Holiday 2010: Online Winners in Customer Satisfaction

    Amazon and Netflix are the top scorers in terms on online customer satisfaction, according to the sixth annual ForeSee Results E-Retail Satisfaction Index (U.S. Holiday Edition). Both had a score of 86 on the study’s 100-point scale, with 80 generally considered the threshold for excellence. Here are the study’s top performers:
