  • Fast-growing retailer enters new state

    Five Below is expanding at a fast clip this year.

    The extreme-value brand for pre-teens and teens will open its first store in Oklahoma, in Oklahoma City, on June 3, 2016.  

    A second store Oklahoma, in Edmond, will open on June 24, 2016.

    The Philadelphia-based chain is one of the fastest growing retailers in the country. It plans to open approximately 85 new stores in 2016, up from 71 stores in 2015.

    The nation’s largest western and work wear retailer is nothing if not supportive of its employees.

    Boot Barn Holdings is donating $11,000 to charity in celebration of employee Mary Sarah advancing to be one of the eleven finalists on NBC's primetime singing competition, “The Voice.”

    Sarah moved to Nashville and took a job at Boot Barn several years ago to support her life-goal of becoming a country music artist.

  • Fast-growing Five Below keeps getting bigger

    Extreme-value tween and teen retailer Five Below enters a new market on April 1, with the opening of three stores in Louisiana.

    “Entering Louisiana is an important step as we continue to expand our rapidly growing footprint across the country,” said Joel Anderson, CEO of Five Below, which operates 444 stores in 27 states.

    The stores in Louisiana are located in the towns of Covington, Lafayette, and Slidell. They are included in the 85 new locations Five Below has planned for 2016. In 2015, the chain opened 71 stores.

The campaign's iconic Red Noses - which people wear in support of the official Red Nose Day on Thursday, May 26 - returned to store shelves at Walgreens and Duane Reade locations nationwide this morning, officially kick starting the nine-week charitable campaign.

  • Five Below sets sights on Florida

    Teen and pre-teen retailer Five Below has big plans to bring its brand of extreme value retail to the Sunshine State.

    The company will hold a grand opening of its first store in Miami on March 2, giving it a total of 15 locations in the state, and said over time is expects to open 100 more stores. This store is located at Causeway Plaza, 12195 Biscayne Blvd, North Miami.

  • Amazon increases free shipping minimum to $49

    Amazon hasquietlyraised its minimum free shipping for non-Prime members from $35 to $49, according to anupdateon the company's website.

  • L Brands keeps setting sales records

    L Brands raised its profit outlook for the year after reporting record sales in the fourth quarter.

    For the fourth quarter ended Jan. 30, the company had net sales of $4.395 billion, an increase of 8% compared to $4.069 billion for the quarter ended Jan. 31, 2015. Same store sales increased 6%. Net sales for the year ended Jan. 30 were $12.154 billion, an increase of 6% compared to $11.454 billion for the year ended Jan. 31, 2015. Same store sales for the year ended Jan. 30 increased 5%.

  • Westfield unveils new customer journey at LAX Terminal 2

    Los Angeles -- Westfield invested $78.3 million into LAX terminal 2 in Los Angeles, transforming nearly 76,000 sq. ft., including more than 15,000 sq. ft. of new dining and retail at Los Angeles International Airport. According to Westfield, the upgrade brings together a vibrant design, local restaurants and signature retail, creating a more holistic customer journey.
