Retailers are urging passage of new bipartisan legislation that would establish a coordinated federal response to the growing problem of organized retail crime.

Voters are worried the 2025 tariffs will raise prices on everything from groceries (76%) to medicine (71%) to household supplies (67%) and clothing (66%).

Consumer spending is not unraveling but it is slowing as worries over sticky inflation and the impact of tariffs weigh on consumers and businesses.

Consumers are still spending, but at a slower pace compared to recent months.

Tariff concerns slowed consumer spending in February compared to January, but retail sales still increased year-over-year during the month.
