  • Brown Shoe to close 145 Famous Footwear stores, sell off some units

    St. Louis -- Brown Shoe Co. said Monday that while profit rose dramatically in the third quarter thanks to a business unit divestiture, the retailer will cut several of its lines and close underperforming stores nationwide to shore up profitability.

  • Bravo! Cucina Italiana opens at Willow Grove Park

    Willow Grove, Pa. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust announced that Bravo! Cucina Italiana has opened at Willow Grove Park.

    The 7,500-sq.-ft. restaurant is the first of its kind in the region, according to PREIT.

  • Fashion Place celebrates grand re-opening of extensive redevelopment

    Murray, Utah -- Fashion Place, in Murray, Utah, celebrates a grand re-opening on Nov. 11 with the opening of first-to-market stores Crate and Barrel and H&M, as well as openings of The North Face, Bastille, Ann Taylor and Loft. The new store openings kick-off the grand re-opening of the center’s redevelopment, which includes 98,000 sq. ft. of new retail offerings and an expanded entranceway to the community.

  • Chef Bobby Flay opens Bobby’s Burger Palace at Cherry Hill Mall

    Cherry Hill, N.J. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust said that Bobby’s Burger Palace is now open at Cherry Hill Mall, in Cherry Hill, N.J.

    Acclaimed cef Bobby Flay’s BBP joins Bahama Breeze, California Pizza Kitchen, Maggiano’s Little Italy and Seasons 52 along the mall’s Bistro Row, facing Route 38 near the new Nordstrom.

  • Galleria at Tyler names marketing manager

    Riverside, Calif. -- Chicago-based General Growth Properties said that its Galleria at Tyler mall property, located in Riverside, Calif., has named Christina Riojas as its marketing manager.

    Riojas' marketing duties will include the coordination and implementation of strategic advertising, public relations, budgeting, retailer relations and special events.  She most recently comes from Lake Elsinore Outlets (Lake Elsinore, Calif.) as marketing director.
