Claire’s has named Claudia Lima-Guinehut as chief merchandising officer.
Claire's Holdings has tapped an experienced retailer to head merchandising.
The young woman’s jewelry and accessories brand has appointed Claudia Lima-Guinehut as executive VP and chief merchandising officer. She will lead the company's global merchandising, sourcing, and design strategy as well as the brand's piercing business.
Lima-Guinehut joins Claire’s after spending nearly nine years at The Children’s Place, most recently serving as senior VP, global merchandising and strategic. At Children’s Place, she was responsible for creating and delivering product strategies for all brands across multiple channels of distribution, as well as leading operations for wholesale and international franchise businesses.
Prior to Children’s Place, Lima-Guinehut was director of international merchandising for Destination Maternity from 2011 until 2014. She also had roles of increasing responsibility at Zara, Camuto Group, Ralph Lauren and Fifth & Pacific Companies.

Recently, Claire’s has been expanding via partnerships with other retailers, including Macy’s and Walmart, with its products now available in more than 2,500 Walmart stores and in more than 360 Claire's store-in-stores at Walmart locations It also has a presence in grocery chains, including Albertsons, Kroger, Giant Eagle and more.

As of December 2022, there are more than 2,750 Claire’s owned and operated and franchise stores open across North America and Europe, along with 260 Icing doors.
