Chicken Salad Chick expands footprint in three states — here's where
Alabama-born Chicken Salad Chick is touting its expansion efforts in the Northeast as it continues to enter new markets.
The fast-casual chicken salad restaurant chain is expanding its footprint in New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Chicken Salad Chick’s New York deal, which will bring 25 units to Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and the Upper Hudson Valley, highlights its Northeast expansion. The deal marked the largest franchise agreement in the company’s history.
In Pennsylvania, Chicken Salad Chick will soon open locations in Allentown, Collegeville and South Pittsburgh. In West Virginia, the chain is plotting stores in Barboursville and Charleston.
Chicken Salad Chick added that territories are still remaining for expansion in New Jersey, Long Island (New York) and central Pennsylvania, and that the company is actively seeking franchise partners to fill those gaps.

Chicken Salad Chick celebrated a record year in 2025, awarding nearly 100 new franchise restaurant deals and opening 42 locations across 14 states.
In the first quarter of 2026, Chicken Salad Chick debuted in several key markets, including Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Phoenix. The chain has over 300 locations in its development pipeline.

Founded in Auburn, Ala., in 2008, Chicken Salad Chick operates nearly 350 locations in 26 states. The chain is known for its dozen-plus variety of made-from-scratch chicken salad flavors, fresh sides, soups, signature sandwiches and desserts.
