Charlotte Tilbury is releasing its first-ever mobile app

Charlotte Tilbury wants to put its full shopping experience in a customer’s pocket.

Founded by U.K. makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, the vertical beauty retailer is rolling out its first-ever e-commerce app.  The app leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning  to provide features such as personalized shade matching and recommendations for skincare, complexion, and color products in under 60 seconds.

The app will also unlock first access to shop new items before other shoppers, including exclusive product drops. A video library includes how-to tutorials, behind-the-scenes celebrity footage, and exclusive app-only content. Customers  can shop for products featured in videos and have access to loyalty rewards.

“This has been years in the making - the tech has finally caught up with my vision to make easy beauty for you,” said founder , president, chairman and chief creative officer Charlotte Tilbury. “It's powered by my years of expertise and my unique artistry algorithm, backed by data science and customer insight. It takes all my knowledge, secrets, tips and tricks from my 30-year career with how-to tutorials delivering easy beauty for everyone - unlocking all my backstage secrets, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, and app-only product drops. It's my one tap wonder to instant beauty magic."

"Charlotte Tilbury Beauty goes beyond being an industry leading beauty brand - it is a technology company revolutionizing the beauty industry,” said Corinne Suchy, chief growth and technology officer at Charlotte Tilbury Beauty. “Inspired by Charlotte's industry-disrupting vision, we love to find that line where technology is indistinguishable from magic, and we will only continue to bring our customers and community incredible innovation.

Charlotte Tilbury sets up shop in the metaverse

Charlotte Tilbury may be a latecomer to the mobile app arena, but the retailer is something of a pioneer in metaverse retailing. The company initially launched the digitalized version of a brick-and-mortar store, leveraging Obsess metaverse technology, on its e-commerce site in November 2020.

Within the virtual store, customers can explore, shop, receive personalized advice and product recommendations, join live events with Tilbury and special guests, and watch makeup and skincare tutorials. Since launching its metaverse environment, Charlotte Tilbury has added numerous new features, most recently custom shopping avatars.

The new Charlotte Tilbury app is available in 34 countries including mainland U.K., Northern Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, U.S., Canada, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Germany, Italy,  The Netherlands, Australia, Hong Kong, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, and France.
