Captain D's makes U.K. debut
Captain D’s has officially opened its doors across the pond.
The Tennessee-based quick-serve seafood and chicken chain has opened its debut U.K. restaurant at the Westwood Cross Shopping Centre in Broadstairs, England. Captain D’s first announced its U.K. expansion plans in the spring, when CD’s Holdings was selected as the ownership group that will bring the company’s restaurants to the U.K. and other European countries.
The debut is part of a 20-unit master franchise agreement. Captain D’s has two additional U.K. restaurants planned to soon open in Sussex and Hampshire, signaling strong momentum in its international growth strategy.
“We are thrilled to be opening our first UK location and to share this exciting new design and menu with guests in Broadstairs,” said Hair Parra, senior VP of international operations and development at Captain D’s. “This opening represents the future of our brand – one that blends our heritage with innovation and sets the stage for Captain D’s global growth.”
The Broadstairs restaurant is the first to showcase Captain D’s modernized U.K. design, which features a new color palette, playful seafood and chicken icons, and a “vibrant, family-friendly vibe.” The menu will feature Captain D’s seafood staples as well as U.K.-exclusive offerings.

Captain D's operates more than 530 restaurants in 23 U.S. states and Canada.
