Camp to open at The Galleria in Houston — with a Bluey experience

Camp is setting up shop at the largest mall in Texas.

The family-friendly, experiential retailer will open a 7,500-sq.-ft. store in February at The Galleria in Houston, which is one of Simon Property Group's premier properties. Part toy store, part party venue and part immersive theater space, Camp will make its Houston debut with an immersive adventure called Bluey x Camp, created in collaboration with BBC Studios and Ludo Studio, the producers of the hit TV show. (According to Nielsen, Bluey is the No. 1 most-watched series on streaming this year (2024) to-date among total viewers in the U.S.)

Similar to all Camp stores, the Houston location will also house a dedicated retail space called the “Camp Canteen." It will feature toys, clothing, accessories, a slime creation station, a party room for kids birthdays and one of Camp’s signature playable trucks. 

The Canteen is also home to the “Magic Door,” a pivoting wall that takes visitors to an interactive family experiences that change seasonally. The Houston store will open with Bluey x Camp, which will take visitors to Bluey’s home a 5,000-sq.-ft. house, complete with a two-story pillow fort and a cardboard box castle (with slides). (Bluey x Camp is a ticketed experience.)

Visitors will also be able to take a selfie with Bluey, play Bluey games, shop exclusive Bluey x Camp co-branded merchandise  and watch short Bluey animated films specially created by Ludo Studio to enhance the  experience.
