C-Suite Moves: September update
Here are the major C-suite changes that occurred in September, in the order they were announced. (All changes have already taken effect unless otherwise noted.)
- Footwear giant Genesco tapped Andy Gray to lead its newly formed Journeys Global Retail Group as CEO. Gray, who has served as president of Journeys since January 2024, previously spent over 20 years at Foot Locker in senior roles.
- W. Kerry Jackson rejoined Shoe Carnival as CFO after retiring in May 2023. He previously served as the Shoe Carnival's CFO for 27 years.
- Catalyst Brands, parent company of JCPenney, Aéropostale, Brooks Brothers and other brands, named Michael Fernandez as chief wholesale and business development officer.
- Sky Zone named Stephanie Meltzer-Paul to the new role of chief commercial officer. She most recently served as the executive VP of global loyalty services at Mastercard.

- Stater Bros. Markets president and COO Greg McNiff was promoted to CEO. Current CEO and chairman of the board Pete Van Helden will remain with the company in the role of executive chairman of the board.
- Brent Beebe, senior VP of merchandising and marketing at Dollar Tree Inc., will be promoted to chief merchandising officer effective April 2026. He will succeed Rick McNeely, who will retire next spring.
- Regional convenience store chain Yesway appointed Ray Harrison as chief marketing and merchandising officer. He joins the company from Cal’s Convenience, where he served as chief marketing and merchandising officer since December 2020.
- J.McLaughlin tapped fashion veteran Lee Anne Henrico as its new chief creative officer, overseeing J.McLaughlin’s men’s and women’s design, product conceptions, and creative marketing and communications. Most recently, she served as executive VP of men’s, women’s & kids’ designs at Vineyard Vines for more than two years. Prior to that, Henrico served as the senior VP of design at Aritizia.
- Patraic Reagan was named executive VP and CFO of Crocs, succeeding Susan Healy, who resigned on Aug. 28. Most recently, Reagan served as CFO for global product design and technology company SharkNinja Inc. Prior to that, he spent more than 13 years at Nike.
