C-Suite Moves: December 2024 update
Here are the major leadership changes that occurred during December, starting with the most recent. (All changes have already taken effect unless otherwise noted.)
•With the finalization of Neiman Marcus Group by Saks Global, Marc Metrick, CEO of Saks, was named as CEO of Saks Global Operating Group, and Ian Putnam was appointed CEO of Saks Global Properties & Investments. Also, Bill Bine, formerly chief supply officer of Neiman Marcus Group, was named to the new role of chief transformation officer.
The completion of the deal also brought with it several departures from Neiman Marcus Group, including Geoffroy van Raemdonck as CEO.
•Lee Nicholson, senior VP of procurement, for Ahold Delhaize USA, was named executive VP and chief merchant at Ahold’s Stop & Shop banner.
•Dollar Tree appointed interim CEO Michael C. Creedon, Jr. as permanent chief executive officer. He was appointed to the post on an interim basis in November, following the abrupt departure of Rick Dreiling, who stepped down for health reasons.
•Venki Krishnababu joined Dutch Bros as chief technology and information officer. He was previously with Lululemon Athletica, where he spent eight years.
•Women’s apparel retailer J. Jill announced Claire Spofford has decided to retire as president and CEO. She is expected to remain in the role until April 2025.
•J.Crew Group appointed Julia Collier as chief marketing officer for the J.Crew brand. Most recently, she was senior VP of marketing at Skims, the shapewear and underwear brand co-founded by Kim Kardashian.
•Winnie Park was tapped as CEO of Five Below, the extreme-value retailer for tweens and teens. Most recently, she was with Forever 21, where she has served as CEO since January 2022.
•Online marketplace Etsy Inc. made several changes to its C-suite, including naming Lanny Baker as CFO. He previously was with global events marketplace Eventbrite. In other changes, Kruti Patel Goyal, formerly CEO of Etsy's Depop subsidiary, was appointed president and chief growth officer of Etsy, and Brad Minor, formery Etsy's chief brand officer, was named chief marketing officer. Also, Etsy’s chief technology officer, Rachana Kumar, will depart the company to pursue new opportunities.
•CVS Health announced the appointment of Lucille Accetta, RPh, MPH, MBA as chief pharmacy officer.
