  • Mansour closes on portfolio of 10 Walgreens

    San Diego — The Mansour Group has arranged the sale of a portfolio of 10 Walgreens properties located in secondary and tertiary markets throughout the Mid-south  in Arkansas Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Camden, N.J.

    Mansour had the exclusive listing to market the properties on behalf of the seller, a private partnership. After generating more than three dozen offers, the portfolio sold to a private California 1031 exchange buyer who completed the sale of a multi-family property in San Francisco.

  • Torchy’s Tacos signs into a Houston-metro town center

    Houston — Torchy’s Tacos has leased a 3,886-sq.-ft. restaurant at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch in the Houston suburb of Katy, according to Vista Equities Group, the owner of the center. Baker Katz represented Torchy’s in the transaction.

  • Abercrombie’s Q4 profit plunges 58% but still tops Street; accelerates buyback

    New Albany, Ohio – Abercrombie & Fitch Co.'s fourth-quarter net income plunged 58%, less than Wall Street expected, amid several one-time charges, including costs tied to the closure of its Gilly Hicks’ stores. The company’s board also approved a $150 million accelerated share repurchase plan, to be executed during the first quarter.

    For the quarter ended Feb 1, Abercrombie’s income fell to $66.1 million from $157.2 in the year-ago period. For the full year, income declined 77% to $54.6 million from $237 million last year.

  • SRS announces new associate

    Dallas — SRS Real Estate Partners has hired Michael Straus as an associate in the Chicago office. Straus will focus on tenant and landlord representation as well as new business development.

    He brings more than 15 years of managerial and sales experience to SRS. Prior to signing on with SRS, he worked for Student Transportation of America where he oversaw all aspects of operations and managed more than 1,100 employees across the Midwest. He managed sales and contract negotiations, lease renewals, development and acquisitions.

  • Retailers in expansion mode include mix of old and new players

    New York -- Retailers making headlines with store expansion plans include new players as well as global powerhouses. Just in the starting gate is Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, a new specialty grocery format featuring value-priced healthy and organic offerings. The company plans to open over 60 stores throughout the Midwest during the next five years.

  • Tuesday Morning names real estate, IT execs

    Dallas -- Tuesday Morning Corporation has appointed Douglas B. Sullivan as senior VP for real estate and Michael J. Jones as senior VP and CIO. Most recently, Sullivan served as executive VP for development at Michaels Stores, where he led the company's real estate strategy development and rollout.  

    Jones's recent experience includes serving as executive VP and CIO for Florida-based Systemax (TigerDirect), where he was responsible for strategic business systems development, website, technology and support.
