Jacksonville, Fla. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space in Jacksonville, Fla., at Shoppes at Bartram Park to Jacksonville Running Co.

Specializing in the sale of running footwear and apparel, Jacksonville Running Co. has leased 1,600 sq. ft., bringing the center to 94% leased.

The tenant is slated to open for business in the spring.

The 119,376-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Publix alongside The UPS Store, Massage Envy, Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Panera Bread.

Los Angeles -- BH Properties announced that Ronald J. Platisha has been promoted to the newly created position of COO.

Platisha will lead the organizational operations while building and maintaining relationships with financial institutions.

Platisha, a 30-year veteran in the commercial real estate industry, has served as CFO at BH Properties for the past four years.

New York City -- Chicago's City Council on Thursday approved a $1 million property tax break for Costco Wholesale Corp. to build its second store in the city, Chicago Business reported.

The tax break was introduced by Mayor Richard M. Daley at a December City Council meeting. He asked that the retailer receive a $1 million tax break over 12 years for a store to be built at 14th Street and Ashland Avenue.

New York City -- Kenneth Cole Productions is closing its flagship store in Rockefeller Center and eight other stores this year, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing, according to Crain’s New York.

Located in a major tourist hub, the Rockefeller Center spot has been on the market for more than two years, according to real estate brokers, the report said. Kenneth Cole has occupied the 13,000-sq-ft. for about 10 years.

Lenexa, Kan. -- Seattle-based Nordstrom announced plans to open its first Nordstrom Rack in Kansas. The 34,925-sq.-ft. store will be located in Lenexa at the Orchard Corners shopping center and is expected to open in fall 2011.

New York City -- Robert K. Futterman & Associates said it has arranged a long-term, 10,700-sq.-ft. lease with Mulberry at 134 Spring St., between Greene and Wooster Streets in SoHo.

The store will serve as the British lifestyle brand’s flagship location in New York City and will be its third store in Manhattan. Scheduled to open in the summer, Mulberry will occupy 5,700 sq. ft. of ground-floor retail and 5,000 on the lower level and will sell ready-to-wear in addition to accessories.

Kansas City, Kan. -- Beachwood, Ohio-based Developers Diversified Realty Corp. said that Anthropologie will open an 11,202-sq.-ft. store at Town Center Plaza, a 626,000-sq.-ft. lifestyle center located in Leawood, Kan.

The new store is slated to open this summer.

In 2010 at Town Center Plaza, Victoria's Secret relocated and expanded to a new 7,200-sq.-ft. prototype store, Bath & Body Works expanded into a 3,267-sq.-ft. space, and The Limited executed an agreement to open a 4,595-sq.-ft. store in the spring.

Elizabeth, N.J. -- Columbus, Ohio-based Glimcher Realty Trust has announced plans for the largest single-roof top solar system in North America to be built on the roof of Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth, N.J.
