Nordstrom Rack to open first Kansas City area store
Lenexa, Kan. -- Seattle-based Nordstrom announced plans to open its first Nordstrom Rack in Kansas. The 34,925-sq.-ft. store will be located in Lenexa at the Orchard Corners shopping center and is expected to open in fall 2011.
“We are thrilled to be opening our first Nordstrom Rack in Kansas and looking forward to better serving our customers in the greater Kansas City area,” said Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack. “This is a great location and we hope to make it more convenient for our customers to shop both our Nordstrom store and the Rack when we open this fall.”
Nordstrom frequently opens Rack stores near its full-line stores.
Nordstrom Rack will anchor the north end of the center, joining co-tenants Gordmans and Stein Mart. The Orchard Corners retail mix also includes Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry and Men’s Wearhouse.
The center is managed by Block and Co. and leased by RED Brokerage.
