  • Metro Commercial inks 7 Lumber Liquidator deals

    Mount Laurel, N.J. -- As part of its exclusive national representation of Lumber Liquidators, Metro Commercial announced that it has brokered seven leases totaling nearly 46,000 sq. ft. 

    In Georgia, an 8,468-sq.-ft. store in Kennesaw Landing and a 6,000-sq.-ft. store in Newnan opened in July. A 10,151-sq.-ft. store in West Allis, Wis., recently opened, as did a 5,200-sq.-ft. store at Palmetto Palms Business Park in Miami. A second Florida location opened in St. Petersburg earlier this year.

  • SRS Real Estate Partners names associate

    Dallas -- SRS Real Estate Partners has announced the hiring of Jon Switzer as an associate in the Austin/San Antonio office.

    Switzer will specialize in landlord representation, tenant representation, and be a part of the new SRS Urban team.
     

  • Tommy Bahama to open at Town Center at Boca Raton

    Boca Raton, Fla. -- Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group said that Tommy Bahama will open a new store at Town Center at Boca Raton, located in Boca Raton, Fla.

    The new 3,400-sq.-ft. store is slated to open Sept. 1. The grand opening is scheduled for Sept. 10.

  • Tuesday Morning to open at Rio Grande Plaza

    Rio Grande, N.J. -- Centro Properties Group US said that Tuesday Morning will open an 8,094-sq.-ft. store at Rio Grande Plaza, located in Rio Grande, N.J.

    Centro Properties Group, based in New York City, is the owner of Rio Grande Plaza.
     

  • Shoe Carnival to open at Bardin Place Center

    Arlington, Texas -- Centro Properties Group US announced that Shoe Carnival will open a 10,210-sq.-ft. store at Bardin Place Center, located in Arlington, Texas. 

    Bardin Place Center is owned by Centro Properties, based in New York City.
     

  • CBL announces Phase II construction start on The Forum at Grandview

    Madison, Miss. -- Chattanooga, Tenn.-based CBL & Associates Properties has announced the start of construction on Phase II of The Forum at Grandview, a community center in Madison, Miss.

    The 83,000-sq.-ft. second phase will include anchors Ulta, Homegoods, Petco and a national arts and crafts retailer, along with 14,000 sq. ft. of specialty stores. The opening of phase II is scheduled for summer 2012.

  • Romo Italian Designers to open at Crossing Shopping Village

    Miami Beach, Fla. -- Terranova Corp. said that men’s fashion retailer Romo Italian Designers will open a 1,020-sq.-ft. store at the Crossing Shopping Village, in Miami.

    The location is a first for the retailer under the Romo Italian Designers banner. The store is slated to open by the end of August. 

    The Crossings Shopping Village is anchored by Publix, and tenanted by CVS, Blockbuster Video and Chicken Kitchen.
     

  • Books-A-Million cleared to take over 14 Borders leases

    New York City -- A bankruptcy judge gave Books-A-Million the nod Monday to take over the leases of 14 Borders Group stores for just under $1 million.

    The stores are located mostly on the East Coast, and Books-A-Million is expected to take over the leases effective Sept. 20.
