  • Target to seek LEED certification for all 2013 Canadian stores

    Toronto -- Target Corp. announced Wednesday it is pursuing Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification for all Canadian stores opening in 2013.

    Design plans include conserving energy and water, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and limiting waste sent to landfill, among other features.

  • Foot Locker unveils new fitness concept for women

    New York -- Foot Locker announced Tuesday the introduction of SIX:02, an elevated retail concept featuring fitness apparel and athletic footwear for women.

    The first three stores will open for the holiday season in Stamford Mall in Stamford, Conn., Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, N.J., and North Star Mall in San Antonio, Texas.

    SIX:02's concept is based on being the first-to-market design around a broad assortment of women’s athletic brands in an environment created specifically for that female customer, according to Foot Locker.

  • Burton, New York City

     Burton Snowboard's newly renovated SoHo flagship serves as a showcase for the brand's homey New England image. Featured elements include a vintage chairlift, a wood cabin made from reclaimed timbers and a snowboard fabrication press. The design restores the original building of the historical building while incorporating authentic bare wood, reclaimed wood and distressed steel.

  • A&G Realty to manage resolution of 258 Fashion Bug leases

    Melville, N.Y. -- A&G Realty Partners said Tuesday it has been retained by Charming Shoppes to exclusively manage the resolution of all remaining Fashion Bug real estate leases in the United States.

    On June 14, Ascena Retail Group acquired Charming Shoppes and announced plans to cease operating and close down the Fashion Bug arm by early 2013.

    "We're pleased to be working with A&G Realty Partners to wind down our remaining Fashion Bug store leases,” said Jonathon Graub, executive VP real estate, Charming Shoppes.

  • Jones Lang LaSalle to help Time Warner Cable with launch of six California stores

    Los Angeles -- Jones Lang LaSalle has been selected by Time Warner Cable to handle project management for the development of the firm's six new retail stores in Southern California. The new stores are expected to open over the next six months.

  • Corner Bakery Café expanding in the Northeast

    Dallas -- Corner Bakery Café has signed a franchise agreement to open its first restaurants in New York’s Nassau County beginning in 2013. Earlier this year, Corner Bakery Cafe announced similar expansion plans in the Northeast, including Northern New Jersey, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
     
    Four M Bakery, LLC, a group of veteran restaurant operators, which also owns 12 Buffalo Wild Wings through Four M Capital, LLC, has plans to open seven Corner Bakery Cafes in Nassau County.
