  • Urban Outfitters opens side-by-side men’s and women’s stores in Westwood Village, California

    Westwood Village, Calif. — Urban Outfitters has opened side-by-side men’s and women’s stores in Westwood Village, Calif. With a 16,556 sq. ft. storefront, the stores are located in two adjacent historic buildings on Westwood Blvd.

  • Consolo, Aquino & Maglio arrange another Manhattan store in South Harlem

    NEW YORK — The leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, executive vice, along with Arthur Maglio, of Douglas Elliman’s Retail Group, has arranged a long-term lease for Moe's Sneaker Spot at 1890 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd., on the southwest corner of 115th Street. It is the second Manhattan location for the rapidly expanding retailer, which presently operates a dozen stores throughout New York and New Jersey.

  • RKF named leasing agent for The Factory in Long Island City

    New York — RKF has been selected as the exclusive retail leasing agent for The Factory, a one-million-square-foot, multi-tenant commercial building located in Long Island City, Queens. Situated in the Hunter’s Point section of Long Island City, the retail space at The Factory consists of 23,564-sq.-ft. on the ground floor and 21,854-sq.-ft. on the building’s lower level.

    RKF executive VP Barry Fishbach and director Young Kim are bringing the opportunity to market for Atlas Capital Group, who recently acquired the property.

  • Cherokee National Businesses Woodmont Outlets propose $80 million upscale outlet shops in Tulsa

    CATOOSA, Okla. — Cherokee Nation Businesses has partnered with commercial real estate developer Woodmont Outlets, an affiliate of The Woodmont Company, to potentially locate a new upscale retail development at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.

    CNB has agreed to lease property west of the casino to Woodmont Outlets, which plans to invest $80 million into premium outlet shops to be called “Cherokee Outlets.”
     

  • Five Below to open new DC in 2015

    Philadelphia – Five Below plans to open a new distribution center in Oldmans Township, New Jersey, in 2015. The center will replace an existing 421,000-sq.-ft. facility located in New Castle, Delaware.

    Five Below will occupy approximately 700,000 sq. ft. of the facility to start with, and plans to grow to one million sq. ft. over time. The new distribution center, which is expected to be fully operational in the second half of 2015, will support the company's continued growth and expansion on the East Coast.

    Jacksonville, Fla. - Stein Mart is opening six new stores in fall 2014 as part of its 2014 store expansion plan that calls for  nine new locations, strategically selected in key growth markets, and seven relocations. The openings will bring the company's total nationwide store count to more than 270.

    Stein Mart plans to open six new stores this fall just in time for Christmas. The store openings are part of the company’s 2014 store expansion plan, which includes nine new locations, strategically selected in key growth markets, and seven relocations.

    The openings will bring the company's total nationwide store count to more than 270.

  • PriceSmart August sales jump; plans new Colombia stores

    San Diego – For the month of August 2014, net sales at PriceSmart Inc. increased 7.3% to $206.7 million, from $192.6 million in August a year earlier. Same-store sales for the month increased 2.3%.

    PriceSmart also announced the planned opening dates for the three warehouse clubs currently under construction in Colombia. The Bogota warehouse club is planned to open on Oct. 29; the Pereira warehouse club is planned to open on Nov. 13; and the Medellin warehouse club is planned to open on Nov. 26.
