  • Report: American Eagle Outfitters to open new stores, new formats

    American Eagle Outfitters has entered into an acquisition that could eventually see it open hundreds of new stores, and also enter a more upscale market. The teen apparel retailer has acquired upscale menswear brand Todd Synder, along with Snyder’s Tailgate Clothing Co., a vintage sports-inspired brand that operates a college-town store concept. American Eagle sees the potential to open as many as 200 Tailgate stores at universities nationwide, starting with Southeastern Conference and Big Ten colleges, according to the New York Times.

  • New leases bring Feil's Nassau Mall & Kohl's Plaza to full occupancy

    New York -- The Feil Organization announced the completion of Nassau Mall and Kohl's Plaza complex renovation in Levittown, New York. The renovation consisted of a new façade and re-tenanting the centers, which resulted in four new leases totaling approximately 11,000 sq. ft. and 100% occupancy at both centers.

  • Jordan’s Furniture’s new store will put customers on the ropes — literally

    Jordan’s Furniture, known for its larger-than-life stores that combine retail with all manner of entertainment, is outdoing itself in its next location. The retailer is building a 192,500-sq.-ft. store in New Haven, Connecticut — its first in the state — that will feature a massive indoor rope course, billed as “IT Adventure Ropes Course,” that includes two 60-ft. high ropes courses. Jordan’s is devoting 20,000 sq. ft. to the attraction.

  • Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust sells three properties for $28.2 million

    Virginia Beach, Va. -- Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust announced the sale of three non-core properties, Harps, Jenks Reasor's, and Bixby Commons located in Tulsa and Delaware Counties, Oklahoma, for $28.2 million. The three free-standing properties total approximately 187,705 sq. ft. were sold under separate contracts.

  • Lidl breaks ground on U.S. headquarters

    German discount grocery chain Lidl has broken ground for a new regional U.S. headquarters and distribution center in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.
