  • Mosaic receives LEED-ND silver certification

    Washington, D.C. -- Columbia, S.C.-based Edens & Avant said Tuesday that its mixed-use development Mosaic, located in Washington, D.C., has achieved Silver Certification as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for Neighborhood Development Plan.

  • Ramsey acquires part of Palm Springs Marketplace

    Palm Springs, Calif. -- La Jolla, Calif.-based Ramsey Real Estate Group announced that it has acquired a 10,550-sq.-ft. building that is a portion of Palm Springs Marketplace in Palm Springs, Calif.

    The acquisition was made by Ramsey Real Estate Group’s The Shops at Palm Springs Marketplace, LP. The firm paid $1.15 million for the property.

    Palm Springs Marketplace is a Stater Bros.-anchored community shopping center with a tenant mix of Arco, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, AutoZone, Dollar Tree, Dairy Queen and Kaiser Permanente.

  • BCBG debuts new retail format

    New York - BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, the $1 billion global fashion brand, has launched a new, fast-fashion store concept, Lola, targeted at young women (ages 16 to 26).  The 3,000-sq.-ft. store, has a cool, hip vibe and is designed as an urban studio apartment, complete with fireplace, daybed, spiral staircase,  and closet. Salvaged doors give the storefront a Lower East Side feel.

  • UGG Madison Ave. flagship completed

    New York City - West Hampstead, N.Y.-based construction firm Corcon and J.A. Stowell Construction, Inc. of California said Tuesday they have completed UGG Australia’s Madison Avenue flagship store in New York City.

    The 4,613-sq.-ft. store was completed on October 28. J.A. Stowell Construction was the construction manager and owner representative for UGG Australia, Corcon served as general contractor, and Anthony Donnelly of VisualWorks, U.K. designed the new location.

  • New restaurants open at Miramar Square

    Miramar, Fla. - Boca Raton, Fla.-based Woolbright Development announced that five new restaurants have opened over the last few months at Miramar Square in Miramar, Fla.

    Miramar Square is a 240,000-sq.-ft. shopping center anchored by Kohl’s, Staples and Dollar General.

    The new restaurant openings include Golden Krust Caribbean Grill, L&L Market Bistro/Elle’s, Smitty’s Grill, La Coriana and Giardinos Gourmet Salads.

    Other eateries slated to open in the next months include Coldstone Creamery and Sir Pizza.

  • Isabella to open new restaurant

    Washington, D.C. - Douglas Development announced that Mike Isabella, former executive chef at Mediterranean restaurant  Zaytinya, and Bravo’s Top Chef  contestant, has leased 5,000 sq. ft. in a three-level Douglas Development-owned property at 707 6th Street, NW, in Washington, D.C.

    Isabella will open a two-level Italian-inspired restaurant, Graffiato, in spring 2011.
