  • A.E. Outfitters to open in Japan

    PITTSBURGH - American Eagle Outfitters announced its plans for American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie by American Eagle stores in Japan, in partnership with Sumikin Bussan Corporation. The first store is slated to open in Tokyo’s Harajuku shopping district in the first half of 2012.

    AEO said it has signed an exclusive franchise agreement with Sumikin, a leading marketer, importer and exporter with extensive experience in the fashion industry, among other lines of business. 

  • Ogilvy & Mather, Malone form new kind of agency

    NEW YORK - OgilvyAction, the activation arm of Ogilvy & Mather, and Malone Advertising, the retail marketing unit of JWT, both part of WPP Group,have announced a joint venture in North America to form the first fully integrated, end-to-end shopper marketing and experiential marketing agency.

  • Just Salad to open in New York City

    New York City -- New Street Realty Advisors, LLC announced a lease transaction between Whitehall Properties II, LLC, the owners of The Caroline at 706 Avenue of the Americas, New York City, and Just Salad.

    The 3,000-sq.-ft. ground floor space is located on the east side of Sixth Avenue between East 22nd Street and East 23rd Street.

    Just Salad is slated to open in the spring.

    Just Salad currently has five locations in New York City and two locations in Hong Kong.

The Bellevue, Wash.-based mobile phone retailer, which has built a brand empire on innovative marketing that includes endorsements by such celebrities as actress Catherine Zeta-Jones and pro basketball icon Charles Barkley, unveiled an innovative growth plan it called the T-Mobile Premium Retailer (TPR) program.
