  • Men's Wearhouse fires founder George Zimmer

    Fremont, Calif. -- Men’s Wearhouse announced Wednesday that it has fired its founder and executive chairman George Zimmer; no reason was given for the sudden move.

  • P&G takes Manhattan

    CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble is launching its latest ad campaign in the Big Apple. Called the Everyday Effect, the campaign is the largest consumer event in the company's 175 year history and will involve P&G representatives showing New Yorkers why they should consume P&G products.

    The company will demonstrate how its brands make “everyday life better” and broadcast results of these demos through on-the-ground reports, social media updates and content featured across the company’s website and social media pages. 

  • Colgate teams up with Stacy Keibler for Make-A-Wish

    NEW YORK — To mark the launch of Colgate Total Advanced Pro-Shield Mouthwash, Colgate will team up with actress and television host Stacy Keibler to try to break the Guinness World Record for most people using mouthwash simultaneously, currently at 1,061.

    Called "A Wish for a Swish," the event will be held at noon EDT Tuesday, June 25 in New York City's Times Square.

  • Saks Fifth Avenue touts itself as trendsetter in new ad campaign

    NEW YORK — Saks Fifth Avenue plans to launch a new ad campaign encouraging new and existing customers to “discover” what the specialty retailer has to offer via catalogs, direct mail, press initiatives, in-store events, digital marketing, social media and visual displays.

    Called “Look,” the ad campaign positions Saks Fifth Avenue as more than just a place for shoppers to buy things they want or need but as a showroom where potential shoppers can search for what is new. 

  • Bounty hits a home run with Cincinnati Reds

    CINCINNATI — Bounty Select-A-Size has teamed up with the Cincinnati Reds as part of a promotional campaign. The company will have 40 Bounty Clean Crew members on hand at every Reds home game to help clean up messes around the park while touting the efficacy of its paper towels to baseball fans.

  • Hasbro flocks together with Angry Birds creator

    Hasbro will be developing toys and physical games based on the globally popular Angry Birds brand as part of its expanded licensing agreement with Rovio Entertainment. 

    Hasbro will develop the upcoming game Angry Birds Go!, scheduled to release this year, and will continue to develop and expand the collaboration with Angry Birds Star Wars from Rovio Entertainment and LucasFilm.

  • Macy's enlists Empire State Building in July 4 celebration

    NEW YORK — New York City's own Empire State Building is joining the 37th annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks festivities. The building will be the site of a choreographed LED tower lights show designed to mirror the explosive finale of the nation’s largest pyrotechnic display.

  • Dickies gets a little bit country in new ad campaign

    FORT WORTH, Texas — Global workwear brand Dickies has teamed up with country music group Eli Young Band. They are offering fans an opportunity to meet the band on the No Shoes Nation Tour with Kenny Chesney.
