  • Victoria's Secret brings sexy back to Herald Square

    NEW YORK — Victoria’s Secret returned to Manhattan in a big way this week with the reopening of a flagship store in Herald Square that was expanded to 8,000-sq.-ft.

    The opening comes just in time to allow Victoria’s secret to capitalize on holiday sales in New York as local demand tends to be complemented by an influx of foreign tourists. On hand for the reopening of the newly expanded and now largest flagship store in the world were Victoria's Secret Angels Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge.

  • Urban Outfitters Q3 profit misses; to open 49 stores next year

    Philadelphia -- Urban Outfitters reported Monday that net income in the third quarter rose 17.4% to $59.5 million, compared with $50.7 million in the prior-year period but missing Wall Street estimates.

    Sales rose 13.6% to $692.9 million, narrowly missing analysts’ expected $692.5 million in revenue. Same-store sales dipped 1%.

  • RCS Real Estate Advisors retained to facilitate Forever Flawless rollout

    New York -- RCS Real Estate Advisors said it has been retained by Bella Terra Cosmetics to help facilitate the rollout of Forever Flawless mall locations throughout the U.S.

    As part of an initiative to expand the Forever Flawless luxury skin care brand, RCS will be selectively identifying and pursuing 1,500- to 2,000-sq.-ft. real estate opportunities within the best malls primarily in California, Florida and Texas.

    Forever Flawless products are currently sold in seven locations throughout Las Vegas, Miami Beach and Nantucket.

  • Barilla teams up with U.S. Ski Team's Mikaela Shiffrin

    BANNOCKBURN, Ill. — Italian food company Barilla has partnered with the U.S. Ski Team's Mikaela Shiffrin, who will don the Barilla logo on her helmet.

    The 17-year-old recently secured third place at the slalom in Levi, Finland, and is considered a serious contender for the World Cup Nov. 24, in Aspen, Colo., as well as the 2014 Olympic games to be held in Sochi, Russia.

  • Survey: Almost half of Cyber Monday shoppers to increase online spend

    Whiting, Ind. -- Survey results released Tuesday by CouponCabin.com revealed that that 47% of Cyber Monday shoppers will spend more money online that day than they will in-store the during the rest of the holiday season. The holiday has gone mobile as well. More than one-quarter (29%) of smartphone and tablet owners plan to shop online on Cyber Monday on their devices.

  • RMC awarded leasing of Meadow Pointe

    Wesley Chapel, Fla. -- RMC Property Group said it has been awarded the exclusive leasing assignment for Meadow Pointe, a 17,280-sq.-ft. neighborhood retail center situated within a 1,800-acre residential community in the fast-growing Wesley Chapel market.   

    Meadow Pointe is located adjacent to a CVS Pharmacy and has retail space opportunities ranging from 1,200 sq. ft. to 10,500 sq. ft.

     

  • ICSC/Goldman Sachs survey: 41 million shoppers on Thanksgiving; 80.5 million on Black Friday

    New York -- Seventeen percent of consumers, or 41 million people, plan to take advantage of increased shopping hours on Thanksgiving hours to shop, according to the latest consumer holiday tracking survey by The International Council of Shopping Centers and Goldman Sachs.
