  • Former PetSmart chief named to HanesBrands board

    Winston-Salem, N.C. -- HanesBrands said it has tapped PetSmart former chairman and CEO Robert Moran to serve on its board of directors, expanding the number of directors to 10.

    Moran, 62, retired from PetSmart in June. He had served as CEO since 2009.

     

  • Coupons.com edits executive team

    MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Coupons.com — a leading online printable, pure digital and mobile promotions coupons provider — has made some changes to its executive team.

    The company has appointed Matthew J. Wisk as its CMO and Stephen F. Simpson as its VP of production operations.

  • Rick Puttkammer returns to Colliers

    San Diego -- The San Diego office of Colliers International has announced that Rick Puttkammer is rejoining the firm as a senior VP. A 25-year veteran in retail property sales and leasing, Puttkammer will head up the firm’s retail division.

    Most recently, Puttkammer was senior VP at Flocke & Avoyer in San Diego. From 1987 to 1997, he was senior marketing director at Colliers in San Diego.

     

  • Togo’s grows into Utah with six new restaurants

    San Jose, Calif. -- Togo’s Eateries has announced a multi-unit franchise agreement in Utah. Six new franchised restaurants will open in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area beginning in first quarter 2014. The agreement accompanies Togo’s commitment to grow from 250 to 400 restaurants.

    Togo’s average unit sales exceed $633,000 with more than half of the restaurants averaging over $799,000.

  • Pepsi hits home run with N.Y. Yankees All-Star Cano

    PURCHASE, N.Y. — Ahead of the 84th Major League Baseball All-Star Game in New York, Pepsi has announced a national partnership with New York Yankees All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano.

    Cano will be officially welcomed as Pepsi's latest brand ambassador in a tribute spot that will run during the MLB All-Star Game Tuesday, July 16, on Fox.

  • Report: Parents seek healthy food for kids

    Chicago – Parents want to buy food and beverages for their kids that are healthy and appeal to the entire family. Results of a new proprietary study from food processing company Cargill show that 89% of parents said they ask their kids to broaden their tastes, and 69% said they ask their kids to try more adult food.

  • Funky footwear brand strengthens sales and marketing teams

    IRVINE, Calif. — Sanuk, a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation, has made changes to its sales and marketing teams. The company has appointed Jeff Booth as its core national sales manager and Tommy Campagne as its core marketing manager.  

  • CBRE brokers sale of Houston-area center

    Houston -- CBRE’s national retail investment group has arranged the sale of Sheldon Forest Shopping Center in Channelview, Texas, east of Houston, on behalf of Weingarten Realty Investors.

    Gerland’s Food Fair anchors the 97,380-sq.-ft. center. Major tenants include Family Dollar and Burke’s Outlet. Both Phase I and II of the center are 100% occupied.

    Capcor Partners purchased the property for an undisclosed price.
