  • Nursery Acres acquires Cabela’s in Grand Junction, Colo.

    Denver — Transwestern’s Denver office has announced that it brokered the acquisition by Nursery Acres L.P. of a 75,330-sq.-ft. Cabela’s retail store in Grand Junction, Colo. Built in 1983, the store sits on a 6.76-acre lot at Mesa Mall.

    Transwestern represented the buyer, Nursery Acres, which purchased the building to complete a 1031 exchange. The company plans to keep the property long-term. Faris Lee represented the seller, Macerich Mesa Mall Holdings LLC.

     

  • Fortune Brands adds former Goodyear exec to leadership team

    Fortune Brands Home & Security, a leading home and security products company, has named Jason Baab as VP of mergers and acquisitions. His role will support the company’s growth strategy that includes expanding its portfolio.

    The company also promoted Elif Sagsen-Ercel to VP of strategy. Baab and Sagsen-Ercel will report to Chuck Elias who was elected by FBHS earlier this year as SVP of strategy and corporate development.

  • ChannelNet appoints new VP of customer support and services

    ChannelNet, a customer acquisition, retention and conquest digital services provider, has appointed Molly Smith as VP of customer support and services.

  • J. Crew proposes bond offering

    New York -- Chinos Intermediate Holdings A, Inc., the indirect parent company of J. Crew Group, Inc., intends to issue $500 million of senior PIK toggle notes due 2019. The notes will be offered and will be sold in a private placement to qualified institutional buyers in the U.S, pursuant to Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and to non-U.S. persons in transactions outside the U.S. pursuant to Regulation S under the Securities Act.   

  • New leadership team at Hudson’s Bay Company

    Hudson’s Bay Company has appointed Michael Crotty as EVP, chief marketing officer, Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor and Russ Hardin as SVP, chief creative officer, Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor.

    Both Crotty and Hardin will report to Liz Rodbell, incoming president, HBC Department Store Group, effective Nov. 11.

  • J. Crew reports strong Q3 to date

    New York – J. Crew Group., Inc. is reporting several strong preliminary results to date for its third quarter of fiscal 2013. Through Oct. 5, 2013, J. Crew reports revenues increased $42.9 million, or 11.3%, to $422.3 million from $379.4 million last year.

  • Hudson’s Bay names chief marketing officer

    Toronto -- Hudson’s Bay Company has appointed Michael Crotty as executive VP, chief marketing officer, Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor. He will be responsible for the overall marketing strategy for Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor.

    Crotty has more than 25 years multichannel retailing and brand management marketing experience  For the last 10 years, he has held progressively senior positions at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and, most recently, Nordstrom.

    Pittsburgh – GNC Holdings Inc. will use customer-centricity solutions from dunnhumbyUSA across all facets of its marketing to more effectively segment and engage with in-store and online customers. This will include personalized communications and offers to shoppers through both online and offline channels.
