  • Hanley logs 10 December retail property sales

    Irvine, Calif. — Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors closed out 2013 with 10 retail property sales totaling nearly $61 million in December. For the year, Hanley logged sales of more than $315 million. Among the December sales were:

  • Tile Shop investigation finds no wrongdoing in supplier relationship

    Minneapolis – An internal investigation conducted by Dorsey & Whitney LLP, independent counsel to the Audit Committee of Tile Shop Holdings, Inc. has found no wrongdoing in Tile Shop’s relationship with Beijing Pingxiu, a Chinese export trading company formerly utilized by the company and some of its Chinese vendors.

  • Consumer confidence rises in January

    New York -- Consumer confidence increased in January for the second consecutive month, rising to 80.7 from 77.5 in December, according to The Conference Board. Economists had expected a smaller increase, to 79. It was the second consecutive increase.

  • Former Walgreens, Apple vet to head up sales for Truveris’ central region

    Pharmacy benefit analytics company Truveris has named former Walgreens and Apple veteran Anthony Barrett as VP sales, central region.

    Barrett joins Truveris with more than 33 years of achieving growth and leading strategic business development, sales and clinical teams. Experienced in healthcare and IT, Barrett worked at Healthways, Prime Therapeutics, Walgreens, Apple and Xerox.

  • Capillary Technologies, Amex enter marketing agreement

    Mountain View, Calif. -- Capillary Technologies has entered a joint marketing agreement with American Express in which American Express will introduce Capillary’s Intelligent Customer Engagement solutions to select medium-sized retailers in the U.S. Capillary’s solutions enable merchants to engage with their customers across in-store, social media, e-mail, local and mobile channels, with a view to increasing shopper loyalty and fueling online and physical store sales.  

  • Chico's FAS heads south of the border

    Chico's FAS is gearing up to launch its brand in Mexico through an exclusive franchise with El Puerto de Liverpool. The company’s expansion in Mexico will begin with a stand-alone boutique opening at Perisur Mall, Mexico City, in spring this year.

  • Alaska lodging resort to include open market

    Philadelphia – Aramark has unveiled plans for Denali Park Village, a new lodging experience in Anchorage, Alaska, that will include an open market. The company is transforming and re-branding two adjacent properties it owns, McKinley Village Lodge and Denali River Cabins & Cedar Lodge, with a projected May 2014 opening.
