  • Inland Private Capital Corp. announces exec promotions

    Oak Brook, Ill. -- Inland Private Capital Corp. announced three employee promotions and the hiring of one new employee to the company’s senior management team. 

    Effective Nov. 13, the company has promoted Keith Lampi to the position of COO and Rahul Sehgal to chief investment officer. Additionally, Joe Binder has been promoted to senior VP acquisitions; Dione McConnell has been appointed VP operations.

  • DJM Capital Partners to develop retail/hotel project

    Huntington Beach, Calif. -- DJM Capital Partners announced that it has acquired about 11 acres from Crescent Heights for the retail and hotel portion of a planned mixed-use development Pacific City.

    The company said it plans to develop on the original footprint and with almost 6.5 acres for 191,000 sq. ft. of open-air retail, restaurants and entertainment and four acres for an eight-story hotel. 

  • Lowe’s strengthens appliance position

    MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Lowe’s will be adding the LG electronics brand to an already powerful portfolio of appliance brands that includes Frigidaire, Whirlpool, Samsung, KitchenAid, Maytag, Electroluc, GE and Bosch.

    NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Johnson & Johnson has elected Alex Gorsky as its new chairman, board of directors, effective December 28. Gorsky, who was appointed CEO in April of this year, replaces current chairman Bill Weldon, who was with the company for 41 years.

  • Pier I Q3 sales up 10.9%; holiday shopping starts strong

    Fort Worth, Texas -- Pier I said its total sales increased 10.9% to $425 for the third quarter, ended Nov.15, with comparable-store sales rising 7.9% from the year-ago period.

  • Kum & Go opens larger store in Wyoming

    West Des Moines, Iowa -- C-store operator Kum & Go said Friday it has opened a new store in Gillette, Wyoming. The previous store was razed in July 2012 to make room for the all-new Kum & Go store design.

    The nearly 5,000-sq.-ft. store introduces many new features both inside and outside the buildings. Inside, customers will find a larger product selection, a center checkout area with customer-focused staff, and an expanded Go Fresh Market.
